In this position, you will be part of Tesla’s Pre-Delivery Inspection Team (PDI Team). This team is based in Tilburg. The team comes in action straight after our cars (model-
S, model-X and possible future models) have been arrived from our Fremont factory. It all starts with the inspection of the car, administrative follow-
up and where needed a Technician will do his magic. Everything is done with the team’s goal in mind, which is to ensure that all Tesla vehicles are in perfect shape to be handed over to the owner of the car (our highly valued customer).
As Parts Advisor, you will be a key player within our team. Your main goal will be to continuously identify which parts are needed (mostly on an ad-
hoc base) by the Technicians and to provide this part to them. You will be able to operate in an environment where stocks are limited and where, to secure the needed parts, it is necessary to seek and maintain a close and strong collaboration with suppliers inside and outside the company.
You are used to work according to a just in time’ principle and can control and maintain a fully accurate stock. On a daily base, you will follow up with inventory count and inventory corrections.
The Parts Advisor knows which parts are in stock and he / she can provide up to date information regarding stock volumes and prices of parts and accessories.
Furthermore, you will be required to travel as needed and directed by management.
Responsibilities may include but are not limited to the following :
Receive stock, pick, ship and transact parts to support the needs of Tesla’s Technicians. Internally as well externally
Establish Parts system, label materials with reference numbers for correct identification
Accurately record parts transactions and data into the Dealer Management System attention to detail is critical, escalate any issues that need to be addressed to correct any inbound packaging.
Escalate important issues from our internal and external suppliers
Communicate estimated parts ship and arrival time, including regular updates
Answer phone calls, emails and drive-ins to address any customer concerns with the highest level of response and attention
Maintain records of time, expenses, and material and warranty duties
Effectively handle multiple priorities, organize workload, and meet deadlines
Pick up and deliver parts using company vehicle / van
Supply parts for our Body shops and all related tasks
Provide prices to customers and internal stakeholders
Be the contact point for the winter tire program, that includes registration in Dealer Management System according ETA (est.
time arrival parts) etc.
Take an active part in process improvement
Proven work experience within the automotive industry, as well as material service and distribution experience
Degree or Certificate in Automotive Technology a plus
Knowledge of methods, techniques, parts, tools and materials used in the maintenance and repair of vehicles
Understand of basic automotive techniques related to repair and servicing of automobiles
Working knowledge of dealer business process and best practice, DMS Systems, SAP, MS Office Suite
Excellent oral and written communication skills as well as the ability to follow instructions required
Fluency in English
Maintain and perform top-level professional integrity and appearance as a parts advisor
Valid driving license, clean driving record and insurable
Flexibility towards a fast-changing environment and processes as well as flexibility towards working in shifts on diverse times (evening, night, weekend) based on business needs
Ability to adapt to our continuous (process) improvement needs
