Management Control (MC) is part of Finance BNP Paribas Fortis and has a primary focus on Business Finance. MC RPB is specifically focused on the business of Retail & Private Banking (RPB).
Management Control is responsible for reporting on the financial performance of the business, by presenting variance analysis to senior management, (Group) Finance and other stakeholders.
Analysis is performed on a number of indicators including income, costs, volumes, FTEs, etc. Our reports are both backward looking (what has been realised, e.
g. monthly closings) and forward looking (what will be realised, e.g. forecast & budget). Furthermore, business results are analysed by client segment (Individuals, Entrepreneurs, Private, Wealth) and business lines (Fintro, Hello bank!, ).
Frequently, MC RPB participates in benchmarking exercises and creation / challenging of strategic plans.
You will contribute to the operational side of report creation but also to analysing and understanding the business of Retail & Private Banking.
You will interact with colleagues in the MC RPB team, Finance, and in other departments such as Marketing, Sales, , including senior management.
You will participate in dealing with ad hoc management requests and projects relating to management reporting.
As a performance analyst, you are responsible for :
Collecting, understanding, follow-up, commenting on and presentation of the financial performance and the realisation of (non)financial targets of RPB, Private, Retail, Hello bank!, Fintro and ARB entities as well as for segmented views (e.
g. Bank for Entrepreneur, iBank, regions, networks..). You are controlling (relevance, completeness and consistency) the related financial and non-
financial management information.
Management of the actual, forecast and budget processes for Retail & Private Banking scope in close cooperation with the team of income experts and the team of costs experts.
Preparation of the different business review decks for the concerned stakeholders (e.g. business heads / management teams, Finance management, WM Group Paris, Audit, Marketing, Sales ) by consolidating analyses from different angles (costs, revenues, segmentation, KPIs, FTEs ) in comprehensive messages.
Performing ad hoc analysis.
Participation in the development of new tools to optimize the reporting processes.
You have a Master degree.
You have at least 3 years of experience, preferably a first experience in the following domains : business performance management, financial or business analysis, accounting, budgeting & forecasting, audit, consulting, modelling, marketing.
You are fluent in English (oral and written) and in French or Dutch
You are skilled in Excel and PowerPoint ; knowledge of Business Intelligence or similar reporting tools is an asset.
You are interested in banking processes and products as well as in the macro-economic context.
Strong analytical mind with a sense of numbers.
Good communication skills and the ability to summarize findings into clear management information.
Team player with a dynamic and client oriented attitude and able to build effective relations.
Eager to learn (supported by extensive trainings) pro-active, punctual and precise.
Ability to think in process and planning terms, to ensure respect of deadlines.
