S / he has experience and understanding of pharmaceutical development processes. S / he will be responsible to design, develop, analyze, enhance, implement, maintain and support technology solutions in close alignment with business partners.
Develop a good understanding of business processes, challenges and opportunities.
Lead small to mid-size technology projects managing scope, schedule, budget and resources.
Lead business requirements, process design sessions, and assessments of the feasibility of proposed solutions and provides appropriate recommendations based on industry trends, internal benchmarking, and vendor relationships ensuring alignment with IT strategies and technology roadmaps.
Act as owner for a portfolio of systems providing lifecycle management in collaboration with vendors, business, and IT partners and in line with SDLC processes.
Analyzes business opportunities, and challenges, factoring in a strong understanding of the technical architecture and the underlying drivers of the business.
Propose improvements to IT systems / services and business processes enabled through technology. Contributes to the development of technology roadmaps.
Ensure compliance with various regulations and requirements within scope of responsibility. Provide documentation as necessary, and participates in compliance activities as required.
Work with technology service owners to identify and track service metrics, to drive continuous service improvement towards business partners and actively participate in business continuity and reliability governance.
A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree is required; A master in the field of computer science, engineering, science or business administration is preferred.
A minimum of five (5) years of related Technology experience in Life Sciences / Healthcare (preferably R&D) is required
Knowledge of industry and business process trends related to R&D Product Development and respective capabilities is preferred.
Good knowledge of the English language is required, Dutch is a strong asset.
Project Management experience is required
Agile Methodology experience preferred.
Advanced understanding of technology lifecycle management, serving as a resource to others.
Detailed knowledge and experience working in support of API development, analytical development, and drug product development laboratory systems and business processes.
Strong technology experience with ability to lead assessments of proposed solutions and develop recommendations.
Understanding of the business impact of different solutions and ability to assess impact and communicate the tradeoffs between business needs, technology requirements, timelines, costs and risks.
The ability to quickly learn the business and complex processes involved is required
The ability to understand and work across multiple business domains in support of projects
Good communication, presentation and influencing skills in a global setting are required
Ability to develop, maintain, apply and influence application, technical and data architecture
