HR Manager

Huntsman is an international chemical company with over 10,000 associates globally, approximately $8billion in turnover and over 400 staff based at our Regional Head Office in Belgium.

We are now looking to recruit for an experienced HR professional to ensure the provision of high level quality HR services are developed and implemented for the European region.

Reporting into the Regional HR Business Partner you will also be responsible for driving an optimal collaboration with the HR Business Partners and Talent and Reward COE’s as well as with peers in the HR organization.

Additionally, as the HR Manager, you will :

  • Ensure continuous improvement and streamlining of the various HR Operations processes across locations in scope.
  • Ensure operational excellence of all basic HR processes including performance reviews, incentive planning, people reviews and succession planning
  • Initiate and / or drive local or Regional HR Projects, such as organization design, workforce planning and restructuring
  • Ensure provision of headcount figures and labor cost related calculations are timely provided in budget processes and maintained on monthly basis.
  • Monitor our internal HR System (Workday) to maintain accurate reporting data.
  • Design, implement and / or update company policies and internal communication projects as required.
  • Ensure compliance with legal regulations about personnel administration and ensure data processing procedures comply with GDPR requirements.
  • Act as a main point of contact with local Works Counsel groups to maintain strong working relationships between associates and the business.
  • In collaboration with your colleagues from the HR department, be the first point of contact for employees and managers from the PU business for all HR related questions.
  • Provide advice, coaching and consultation to employees and people managers in resolving complex or sensitive Human Resource problems, including disciplinary counseling, legal issues and terminations
  • Requirements :

  • Degree qualified in a relevant discipline (HR, Business etc) with previous experience working in a HR Operations role
  • Broad background in HR activities including Compensation & Benefits, Talent Development and Performance Management
  • Strong communication skills and highly analytical and decisive with the ability to build effective working relationships within a large, matrix organization
  • Good knowledge of local labor laws in Belgium
  • Good insight into global HRIS systems to coordinate regional / local data management and comfortable with data analysis
  • Fluent English essential, plus another European language required (ideally French or Dutch).
