The innovation bid center EMEA South supports the MUs with shaping compelling deals in terms of components, methodology and solutions.

The innovation bid center EMEA South is the default contact entity for bid and innovation content in terms of estimations, detailed solutioning, project approaches and bid process.

Knowledge on the latest solutions, approaches and services will be pushed by the innovation bid center into the market units and to SAP customers.

If you are keen to have insight on the latest innovations of SAP, share your architectural and project management knowledge, have big impact on the EMEA South services business by leading large bids, this might be of interest to you.

Our focus is the success of the Market Units and the success of the projects we position with the SAP customers.

To strengthen the team we are looking for a seasoned bid manager, with a previous experience as a seasoned architect, project manager or bid manager.

The Innovation Bid Management (EMEA South) reports into the Head of Innovation Bid Center (EMEA South) (solid reporting line).

Opportunities and network

Proactively work together with the service sales community and the MU Bid managers / PEO heads to get a good understanding of the opportunities which need support from the innovation bid center EMEA South.

Build an outstanding network of solution architects and solution leads to engage them in the bid process. Engage with the commercial business partners, legal advisor, client partner, risk manager, delivery manager, market unit bid managers / PEO heads, procurement officer and EMEA Head of Innovation Bid Center to deliver feasible winning bids.

If needed meet with the MU stakeholders and customer to understand the customer requirements and sales strategy.

Value proposal project

Support the execution of the key milestones of the bid process (deal qualification, bid councils) in such a way the all stakeholders are involved and a fast and compliant process is executed.

  • Manage the service bid proposal process like a project. Understand the different roles and stakeholders in the bid process and guide them in a seamless process to get to the bid.
  • Solutions and services

    Gain an overall understanding of the service portfolio and solutions of SAP. Work closely together with the service owners to get in-

    depth understanding of the offerings to integrate them into the service proposals. Network with the P&I organization to have the latest access to the SAP solutions and developments.

    Propose innovative service offerings to the bid team to differentiate SAP DBS from the competition.


    Work closely together with the MU bid managers / PEO heads to gather, develop and improve innovative approaches, tools, and assets to increase the effectiveness and efficiency of the service value proposals.

    Apply the tools and assets and enable the bid management community on the use of it.


    Our success is measured by the success of the different MUs and the success with the SAP customers.

    GCO strategic bookings

    Achievement of bookings as set out in the budget process for the GCO service sales community.

    DBS Revenue

    Achievement of revenue plans as set out in the budget process for our Digital Business Services in the EMEA South region by creating successful bids and successful projects enabling customer references and sell-on opportunities.

    DBS Profitability

    Achievement of profitability plans as set out in the budget process for our Digital Business Services in the Market Unit through successful project delivery.


  • English fluent, verbally and in writing.
  • Willing to travel.
  • Experienced Bid Manager, 4-5 years bid management experience leading complex bids OR experienced project manager 4-5 years with bid management experience OR experienced solution architect 4-
  • 5 years with bid management experience.

  • Strong project management skills, able to plan the activities to complete the bid, identify resources / allocate tasks and actively manage completion of activities.
  • Able to coordinate a team with different backgrounds and to define common priorities and objectives
  • Able to work under pressure to meet the most aggressive timelines for delivering high quality proposals
  • Actively influences events to achieve goals : self starting rather than acting passively.
  • Good networking skills to overcome the virtual team approach
  • Shows concerns for all aspects of the job, no matter how small. Checking processes and tasks accurately. Good attention to detail for reviewing / editing documents.
  • Excellent reviewing and written communication skills. Able to take technical documentation and edit in proposal / client ready format.
  • Able to produce key sections of proposal documents. Able to produce bid collateral information which can be used in future bids.

  • Excellent communication skills. Able to communicate with all stakeholders and levels of management within the approval process.
