The system engineer is responsible for the IT support of internal clients related to IT equipment and application through LAN or VPN connections both for Brussels and Amsterdam offices.
It also covers the supply, management and support of the whole network and server infrastructure within the company (Brussels and Amsterdam).
He will focus on the support of the software application.
Installation of the servers (HW and SW) and the network infrastructure of the company.
Daily management and support of this infrastructure.
Manage the security aspects to ensure a safe environment.
Keep up to date the needed documentation for trouble shooting.
Internal IT support
IT support on all HW and SW set at the disposal of employees to allow them to perform their job.
Transfer the appropriate information to the help desk for the follow up of maintenance agreements related to IT equipments.
Assist in the selection, implementation and support of new Hardware architecture for internal usage such as SAN, Virtualization, etc.
Project based activities
Provides technical expertise for internal IT related projects
Administration & Reporting
Use of trouble ticketing system for IT support activities.
Min. 5 years’ experience in a User Support position or hands-on experience in the ICT.

oNetworking : Firewalls : Juniper
Firewalls : Juniper
Switches : Enterasys and Alcatel
VPN : Juniper
Knowlegde of VMware + Vsphere, Netbackup and Backup exec, Altiris deployment solution and / or Kaspersky Antivirus is a plus
Bilingual French / English or Dutch / English.
Excellent written English.
