Senior Solution Architect Job Summary
Ability to prepare and deliver presentations for user, management, and executive level audiences.
Provide advice to customers regarding industry best practices and process methodology.
Assist Project Manager(s) in planning efforts.
Estimate effort of task level implementation activities that are within the scope of the project and recommend appropriate role to execute those tasks.
Assess business needs outside the standard solution, assess integration complexity & architecture constraints.
Demonstrate and facilitate integration discussions of product functionality and product architecture (i.e. Show data and process flow from one JDA solution to another).
Conduct / lead business process analysis or design, construction, validation, and deployment phases of the project.
Lead the project team to design and develop functional specifications for modifications, interfaces, reports and screens to ensure smooth integration between technical and functional business requirements.
Create and modify procedural and system documentation throughout the project.
Support development and execution of test scripts to ensure JDA software consistently meets the customer's business objectives.
Provide level 2 non-technical support during the "go-live" period.
Provide level 2 user support and verifies that the system provides the required business functions and maintains data integrity.
Recognize and highlight incremental revenue opportunities with existing customers / projects.
Serve as a functional liaison and attend and contribute to key meetings between Project Manager, Solution Architects, key customer contacts, and customer users, up to and including key executive project sponsors.
Ensure knowledge transfer is conducted with key customer project team.
Communicate business cases to Product Management Group (PMG) and Product Development (PD) regarding customer specific needs related to product functionality and enhancements.
Interact with PMG & PD regarding new releases and new functionality and act as the liaison to communicate to the rest of the team
Works as a member or leading of a consulting team on large and / or complex JDA product implementation / upgrade / enhancement or customer audit projects
Works with all customer business and IT teams during all project implementation phases
Serves as a business solution expert and liaison who contributes to key meetings between Project Manager, key and customer project business representatives contacts and customer users, up to and including key executive project sponsors
Understands how a specific solution can be configured and delivered to best facilitate customer business processes and takes overall responsibility for all JDA product related aspects of project delivery
Influences adoption of leading / best practices across all roles (and locations) and regions for given customer engagement

Maintains up to date product, business process and industry knowledge
May assist pre-sales in the provision of responses to RFP / RFI / RFQ documents.
Assists in the creation of / presents sales material, demonstrations, and case studies.

Has knowledge of most supporting products and modules to the core product
Has good some knowledge of the various software delivery approaches supported by JDA and the JEM JDA project management methodology.
