Role Purpose :

Performs leadership tasks and assignments in support of EMEA CHN Market Development managing small accounts, developing potential accounts and acquire new accounts for the CHN product portfolio as assigned by Sales Director CHN EMEA.

Handles and work on assigned regional or global commercial projects. Is responsible for achieving growth and business objectives of MDG Team

Primary Accountabilities, Duties and Responsibilities

Lead all sales initiatives and create and sustain competitive advantage and growth plans for the CHN Market development group.

Provide planning, direction and guidance to achieve annual Team sales objectives, including forecasting, reporting, and management of sales pipelines.

Establishes and maintains crucial business linkages among Business Teams and Support functions and oversees proper customer and opportunity management.

Assures pricing in line with guidance is in place.

Develop and execute practices that optimize internal small account sales processes and new account acquisition : Balance team resources within her / his Team to meet the Business Unit’s objectives

Develops and maintains relationships with key potentials and growth in her responsibility and visits them when required alone or with the responsible Territory Sales Manager.

Participate and support actively regional strategic marketing initiatives, programs, promotion. Monitors, collect, and disseminate market intelligence on customers, competition or threats.

Manages and works on assigned regional or global commercial projects and tasks e.g. developing a specific market segment, preparing a new product launch, market investigation or other projects supporting Sales and commercial excellence

Sets biz objectives and agrees personal development objectives for / with his direct reports and follows up on them.

Essential Job Functions

Work Schedule - Variable working hours due to travel for customer and internal meetings

Travel - Approx. 25% ability to travel be airplane, car, train.

Safety - Must know and follow job safety procedures, attend required health and safety training, proactively promote safety at work, and promptly report actual and potential accidents and injuries.

Must comply with safety policies of the company and site.

Quality Responsibility - Makes sure her / his Team provide the right input on Quality requirements from customer side with adherence to regulatory requirements.

Environmental Demands - Office setting and traveling

Physical Demands - Appropriate health conditions for traveling

Minimum Required Qualifications / Skills

Education - BS degree in science or Business degree

Experience - Ideally minimum of 5 years’ experience in customer service, supply chain, sales or commercial product management with customer contact

Knowledge - Knowing and understanding Lonza s CHN product portfolio and customer requirements. Project Management. Systems.

Skills - Communication and Interpersonal skills, Sales and commercial skills, organizational capability

Qualities & Attitude - Open minded, willingness to learn and perform
