    This is a great opportunity to work in a Pre-Sales role within the Oracle Technology Sales Business Unit. In this role you will support Oracle Technology opportunities with our Belgian customers, occasionally Luxembourg and Dutch customers.

    You will work closely together with the Sales Representatives, Sales Consulting colleagues and other Oracle LOB's as well as with product management in EMEA and Oracle Headquarters.


  • Pre-sales for Oracle Middleware and Cloud Technologies and Strategy
  • Reports to Oracle Middleware and Cloud Sales Consulting Manager in the License Sales Lines of Business
  • Supports all Oracle Middleware and Cloud opportunities within the Oracle Belgium accounts and occasionally within the Luxembourg and Netherlands accounts
  • Work in a presales & sales environment whereby independence, responsibility, initiative and teamwork are very important
  • SCOPE :

  • Coverage of Oracle Middleware and Cloud (Private, Public and Hybrid PaaS & IaaS) concepts, strategy and products
  • Ability to present and demonstrate Oracle solutions in this specific designated area
  • Successfully create, present and deliver presentations for Oracle customers / seminars and events
  • Ability to develop and execute Proof-Of-Concepts based on Oracle customer requirements (including hands-on, customised demos)
  • Ensure knowledge share of competitors activity within the Product sales team and relevant Oracle Lines of Business
  • Provides technical and product information in response to Requests For Information (RFIs) and Requests For Proposal (RFPs)
  • Actively develops Oracle product solution set expertise
  • Engage with Oracle Product Development teams to maintain product knowledge
  • Attend Oracle customer meetings with Account Management to discuss / qualify oracle product requirements

  • Profound hands-on experience in Java, JEE, JavaScript, ...
  • Experience in Integration, BPM, Mobile concepts and tools, ideally a background with Oracle Middleware and Oracle Cloud technologies in the designated area.
  • Experience within IaaS & PaaS Cloud domains
  • Ideally a job experience in a Pre-Sales software product expertise role.
  • Must be fluent in Dutch, French and English

  • Provides direction and specialist knowledge in applying the technology / application to client business. Facilitation of customer product / application understanding through presentations demonstrations and benchmarks;
  • provision of support throughout the sell.

    As a Principal Sales Consultant you will be responsible as the expert for formulating and leading presales technical / functional support activity to prospective clients and customers while ensuring customer satisfaction.

    Acts as a technical resource and mentor for less experienced Sales Consultants. Focuses on large or complex sales opportunities that need creative and complex solutions.

    Develops productivity tools and training for other Sales Consultants. Develops and delivers outstanding Oracle presentations and demonstrations.

    Leads any and all aspects of the technical sales process. Advises internal and external clients on overall architect solutions.

    Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical / business skills in area of specialization.

    3 years vendor (sales and marketing) experience. 7 years business experience with relevant computer applications or database / tools.

    Ability to implement the most advanced product features. Thorough knowledge of system and application design. In depth knowledge of competitors.

    Demonstrated project management skills. Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication skills : needs analysis, positioning, business justification, closing techniques.

    Ability to persuade others through presentations, demonstrations, and written communication. Ability to travel as needed.

    A / BS degree or equivalent, advanced degree highly desirable.
