In the Production Segment, we are looking for a Pressure Vessels Integrity Engineer for our Productivity Team.

Yara Production operates a multitude of Production Units that operate according to the Yara Inspection Operational Standard.

The inspection program and material selection are considered to be a crucial success factor in safe and reliable operations of our facilities.

Responsibilities

The key responsibility is to ensure that the plant equipment (stationary and piping) and its accessories are reliable and safe for the production services for the specified period by the implementation of approved inspection practices as outlined in various international codes.

The Pressure Vessels Integrity Engineer :

  • Is responsible for solving inspection related problems through the application of advanced analytical Fitness For Service (FFS) Level 1, 2 and 3 procedures as per API579.
  • This includes an advanced use of Finite Element Model (FEM) techniques;
  • Should have knowledge of process plant, related damage mechanisms, Risk Based Inspection (RBI) concepts and basic failure analysis skills;
  • Should have the expertise to identify, analyse and suggest mitigations in the form of reports for problems related to integrity;
  • Needs to have leadership skills that will promote the application of Best Practices within the inspection Department and more widely across Production and Maintenance Departments, becoming the acknowledged expert and point of reference whose recommendations and analysis of problems are accepted;
  • Promotes, supports and actively contributes to Yara Inspection Network activities;
  • The position also carries responsibilities in contributing for quality control of new equipment and piping in collaboration with Yara Project Office;
  • The position requires extensive travelling (25-30 weeks / year) to the different Yara Production sites.
  • Profile

  • Advanced professional and technical expertise with knowledge of :
  • FFS codes (e.g. API579);
  • International codes and practices on pressure vessels design and construction (e.g. ASME Sec. VIII Div. 1 and 2);
  • International codes and practices on materials, welding, inspection and NDT (e.g. API Standards and Recommended Practises, ASME Sec IX, ASME Sec. V);
  • RBI (e.g. API581);
  • In-service damage mechanisms (e.g. API571).
  • Advanced knowledge of FEM for pressure vessels integrity calculation (e.g. ANSYS Workbench);
  • Good ability to operate standard computer software applications;
  • Good ability to communicate effectively in written and spoken English;
  • Good report writing;
  • Good leadership skills.
  • Additional Information

    The Pressure Vessels Integrity Engineer reports to the Technical Process Owner Inspection and Materials.

    The candidate must be comfortable with extensive travelling and short assignments (few weeks) at the various Yara production sites as part of the function.

    We offer a flexible way of working to allow the candidate to balance the travelling.

    Home base location for this job is preferably Brussels Belgium.
