Your role

Ontex Consumer and Market Insights Department directly supports Ontex business strategy, product design, pricing, strategic investments and much more.

We support Ontex transformation, being the key leader of a more data driven and facts based decision-making culture. We generate bespoke, relevant, meaningful, added value and actionable strategic solutions.

KNOWLEDGE BUILDING

You will be instrumental in setting up and implementing the appropriate Market knowledge organization and strategy to develop, enhance and support cross-

functional Group and Divisional Ontex teams, in particular Marketing, Sales, Product innovation, Strategic Planning, as well as specific ad hoc projects with strong analytics.

  • Develop and enhance global and local CMI capabilities.
  • Coordinate efforts and resources across multiple locations.

  • Build a global exchange network and vibrant CMI community.
  • Create & share standards, harmonize process.
  • MARKET INSIGHTS GENERATION

    You will generate comprehensive strategic insights at Group level to support Ontex key stakeholders’ mid to long-term strategy (including Marketing & Sales, Strategy, Investors Relations, Financial Communications and M&A) and integrate Consumer & Market Insights into key business processes (Strategy Review, Innovation Review, Brand Equity Health Check) to drive strategic choices.

  • Perform Quarterly, Annual and on demand market and business performance analysis of Ontex Group across 5 Divisions and 3 categories.
  • Identify and interpret relevant external market and future trends and translate to robust insights and actions.
  • Identify opportunities grounded in Consumer and Market realities, and influence strategic where to play choices.
  • Take part in and support the competition mapping exercise.
  • Perform ad hoc strategic marketing analysis at Group level and / or at Country / Division level.
  • Lead ad-hoc projects to support Divisions / Local teams developing Market & Consumer Insights.
  • Develop educational, training and coaching tools on Consumer & Market Insights.
  • Your profile

  • Experience & background Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Market Research, Economics is preferred; MBA or advanced degree appreciated.
  • At least 10 years of relevant Market Intelligence work experience within an FMCG company in an international environment Extensive background and expertise with Nielsen products and services, and other Market / Consumer tools (Kantar, GFK ).

    Deep expertise and experience in FMCG Marketing strategy Experience in (indirectly) managing and mentoring international teams appreciated.

  • Competencies, Skills and Attitude Fluency in English, (French appreciated) Strong Analytical skills with true passion for working with a variety of data sources, uncovering new insights and delivering breakthrough results Strong verbal and written communication skills with ability to articulate new ideas and insights Able to influence and persuade Team player with ability to work across different cultures and levels including Executive Entrepreneurship mindset with a can-
