Abbott is recruiting an IT Team Leader Client Services.


  • Plan and coordinate Client Services team to deliver greatest value to the organization.
  • Develop and drive enterprise standards for Desktop Services and support organization.
  • Manage and track continuous process improvement, automation and technical integration initiatives. Lead requirements gathering, technical design, tool selection, pilots and full implementation roll-out.
  • Manage desktop and enabling tools towards enterprise wide scalability, performance, stability and supportability.
  • Actively manage and ensure delivery of service level agreements.
  • Develop and provide management with relevant service metrics. Analyze metrics to look for areas of improvement and trends across sites, divisions, geographies, etc.
  • and initiate appropriate action.

  • Ensure employee and system compliance with Abbott and associated regulatory processes, policies and practices. Manage to audit requirements and develop corresponding controls.
  • Create an effective team environment; lead staff through coaching, mentoring, training and performance assessment.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, or a related field (MBA or MS preferred)
  • 5+ years supporting technical Windows client or server environments across multiple geographic locations
  • Preferably supervisory or management experience with demonstrated ability to lead project and technical teams, manage resources and mentor personnel.
  • Strong working knowledge of desktop, mobile related hardware and associated operating systems, peripherals and related infrastructure
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced changing environment multi-task, prioritize and meet deadlines in timely manner
  • Ability to travel, including internationally, up to 10%
  • Exhibit the ability to work effectively across all of Abbott and to build positive working relationships based on mutual respect.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to influence within and across organizations, functions and business areas.
  • Highly organized, capable of multi-tasking and capable of coordinating / aligning resources under an integrated project plan.
