We are currently hiring for the position of Chapter Lead within the Master Data Management tribe.

Master Data Management involves managing data from customers, the organization and the BNP Paribas Fortis’ portfolio. As part of the Master Data Management tribe, you will be responsible for a number of core tasks, the most important of which include maintaining, supporting and delivering the features required to manage this data.

Your position involves contact with all BNP Paribas Fortis brands Fortis, Fintro, Hello bank! and business lines, including Retail Banking and Corporate Banking (retail customers, private customers, legal entities, small enterprises and corporate entities).

Your responsibilities as a Chapter Lead are multifaceted and wide-ranging. Using BNP Paribas Fortis’ enterprise architecture as your basis, you will be responsible for the following :

  • You will focus on customer management, namely onboarding (CUI / CAP / SLV) and follow-up (CFU), while paying attention to the processes and data required for all legal and compliance aspects (KYC, AEOI, FATCA, US policy, etc.
  • You will maintain these customer relationships as required, and work to strengthen the links between you and the customer / product (this includes mandate management)

  • You will compile legal reports and requests (Special Protection Fund (SPF), Banking Secrecy (BKS), FATCA, AEOI, US policy, QI, the federal police department, etc.)
  • You will organise and maintain succession files (estate management)
  • Together with the rest of your chapter, it is your responsibility to manage the approvals / preferences provided by the customer (consent management), as well as the organisational references (entities and employees; ROBI)
  • Another one of your key objectives is customer portfolio management, which involves maintaining the relationship between the organisation / employee and the customer)

    As Chapter Lead for your team of technical analysts, you will be responsible for leading, developing and coaching engineers in the field of data technologies.

    Your primary tasks are to apply your expertise to the tasks at hand, and to facilitate the personal and professional development of your chapter members on an ongoing basis through a combination of coaching, mentoring and feedback.

  • You are a pragmatic, skilled engineer and are able to divide your time effectively so that content-related tasks constitute 40-60% of your time
  • You are a reliable point of contact within your chapter
  • You propose recommendations on market trends, technical and organisational issues and potential changes in the organisational structure of the team
  • You are a dedicated people manager for your chapter
  • You take pride in developing the expertise of your team in line with the overarching bank strategy
  • You ensure chapter members are respecting the standards and policies defined by the Group
  • You organise and encourage collaboration among the members of your chapter
  • You attract, recruit and retain the appropriate profiles.
  • Essential :

  • A Master’s or undergraduate degree or equivalent by experience
  • More than 10 years of experience as an IT expert in software development
  • Proven experience in leading, coaching and mentoring technical staff
  • Extensive experience of working in environments involving Agile development
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office (including Microsoft Visio)
  • An understanding of COBOL
  • Awareness and experience within using the Db2 database system (SQL). Advantageous :
  • Knowledge of IMS database systems
  • Experience with general table management systems
  • Basic knowledge of JCL, ISPF, CTRL-M, Endevor on IBM mainframe operating systems.
  • Knowledge of MQSeries and Proxima
