The RISK ORC Manageris the 2nd line of defence for operational risks.
The RISK ORCManager’s core responsibilities are :
oversee 1rst line of defence &OPC activities
identify and evaluate risks
control the effective existence and application ofgeneric control plans
follow incidents and remediation plans
The RISK ORC Managermust :
establish and manage at local level the RISK ORCinfrastructure (organization, governance) of the factoring entity which acts asthe second line of defence for Operational Risks (OR) and Permanent Controlthat fall under RISK responsibilities, as defined in the BNP Paribas TargetOperating Model of Risk ORC dated July 2016 and the annexes.
provide an overall analysis and ensure reporting coherence on all OR andpermanent control perimeter to the Executive Management, Board, Supervisorsetc..
The RISK ORC Manager is accountable forachieving the objectives set and for monitoring the risks coming from thebusinesses or services the entity run or deliver.
Your function :
Deployand maintain the Operational risks & permanent control framework
The ORC Manager must among other :
Apply and adapt to local specificities operationalrisks and permanent control framework by taking into account the guidelinesdefined by the Factoring Global team and the BNPP Group
Ensure the implementationand the proper functioning of a governance
Set up the Risk cartography
Ensure effectiveimplementation of risk mitigation strategies, framework and actions within 1stLine of Defence
Participate to thevalidation process of new activities / products / organizations / process andexternalization of internal activities
Ensures adequate andefficient Fraud prevention set-up at Operating Entity level
Challenge the PotentialIncidents qualification and quantification
Perform the 2ndlevel of control
The RISK ORC Managermust perform 2nd level controls and reviews on a regular basis
on Potential Incidents quantifications
on relevance and performance of local extensions ofgeneric control plans
on cyber& technological incidents
Testing of the 1st level controls (Control testing,sampling, )
Internal Fraud investigation : alerts & investigations
The RISK ORC Manager must perform the RISK ORC duties and interact withthe teams who act as 1st level of defence :
Follow-up & analysis on recommendations (internal& external) and remediation plan
Monitor risk assessment and manage internal andexternal fraud
challenge the Factoring local OPC on the collection ofoperational risk incidents, root cause analysis and bug fixing
impulse generic control plan establishment (Opinionwith escalation right of the generic control plans and management of exemptions(e.
g. regarding generic controls implementation))
participate in the provisioning process
Duty of alert androle of advice
The RISK ORC Managermust among other :
Communicate, transparentlyon their risk issues and adapt the communication with respect to the needs ofthe different stakeholders :
Alert the management in case of a non-existent orinefficient permanent control framework or incidents identified as part of themeasurement and management of operational risks
Alert in case of significant incidents and performanceof own critical analysis and follow up related action plan
Give formal opinions on the major operational risksexposure based on incident analysis, learnings of findings performed by auditmissions or result and analysis of direct control actions performed by RISKORC, with action plan to be implemented for mitigating it
Provide independent reporting and alert on criticalattention points
Animation / Communication
Animate and impulse the control plan establishment andits assessment
Prepare, organize and do secretariat of InternalControl Committees
Participate to TAC NAC New Transaction or ActivityValidation Committees (i.e. for new product, new activity or new IT systemimplementation, new organization, )
Your profile :
You have a master diploma with at least 6years of experience in RISK management with preferably a first experience asORC officer
You speak English fluently. Knowledge ofFrench is a supplementary asset
You have a deep knowledge on permanentcontrol & operational risks management
You can work autonomic and have leadershipskills
You have strong communication skills(Express the messages, both orally and in writing, in an effective andorganized way, which is appropriate to the audience being addressed)
You develop relationship networks : need tohave a good partnership with Factoring business units
You have analysis and summarization skills
You have analytical skills & soundjudgement : identify all aspects of a subject and examine them in a critical wayto construct a broad point of view.
Is able to synthesize by transforming thecomplex data into intelligible format
