What you will be doing
Validate and challenge category strategy for regional categories
You take a strategic and long-term view in identifying and developing innovative sources and contractual arrangements, and establish the targets in alignment with the Director RPC and internal Clients
You ensure that clients’ needs are reflected in the regional category strategies
You establish spend baselines and category profiles, inclusive risk assessment, supplier relationship management and procure to pay strategy
You prepare and lead agreement negotiations in cross-functional teams.
You execute and monitor the added value initiatives as originating from the regional category strategy.
You build specific regional category strategies in alignment with the business unit strategies and overall procurement strategy
You ensure alignment with global business strategies, overall procurement strategy and the projected added value plan
Lead and develop the Regional Procurement Center Hoboken
You are responsible for leading the procurement centre team of Hoboken (front office and P&T warehouse) to deliver on time and quality and ensure stability of the RPC processes.

You develop operational business continuity plans in support of existing and new programs
In alignment with the Director RPC Belgium, you assist in managing the cost centre budget of the RPC Hoboken
You facilitate communication between your department and other departments, and implement improvement actions where required
Drive improvement in procurement operations through optimized user compliance, process performance, contracts and customer satisfaction
You develop operations performance metrics, processes and targets in support of service level agreements (SLA) towards the internal customers
You manage the relationship with the internal customers to review performance, KPI’s and SLA’s and to agree on joint improvement plans
You collaborate with other departments (sharing lessons learned, align action plans, )
You ensure alignment of centrally developed standards, procedures, best practices with regional stakeholders / customers
Who we are looking for
You hold a Master degree in Economics, Sciences or have equivalent by experience
You have substantial professional experience with a feeling for industrial equipment and services
You have a deep understanding and knowledge of Business needs
You have strong people management skills
You have strong project and risk management skills
You have advanced knowledge of purchasing and supply chain processes and techniques
You have good knowledge of English, Dutch, French and German
