You work closely with the managers of the above mentioned Product Groups. In this positon you are responsible for the financial processes and the planning and control cycle for the local business unit I Grid Integration in the Benelux.
You act as a sparring partner of the business unit manager and provide valuable input in terms of finance and operations.
The main tasks and responsibilities include the following :
You carry out analyses, report market trends and give proactive advice. You are the right hand and adviser of the business unit manager.
You detect opportunities and risks and present these proactively to the business unit manager. In addition, you are the speaking partner for various departments within the business unit and provide financial support for the business.
You are the financial expert for customer projects during tendering and execution phase (tender cost calculation, participating in risk reviews and performing project status reviews and reporting)
You coordinate the budget process and the monthly forecasting cycle and provide timely and accurate reports. You are responsible for all recurring detailed monthly forecasting and actual reporting to the (HUB) BU.
You are proactively monitoring the costs, margins, working capital levels and cash flows and come up with suggestions for improvements.
You work closely with the project management to realize the objected project margins and cash results.
You are responsible for the correct application of US GAAP and SOX.
You act as a first contact point for financial questions from the head-office (BU, PG, etc).
Together with your colleagues you set measurable goals and are responsible for the financial results achieved. .
You contribute towards the further professionalization of the controller position within the local Power Grids division.
You have completed higher professional education in the field of business economics.
You have built up a number of years' experience as a business controller, preferably within a larger company or corporate organisation
You have several years of experience as project controller.
You have a thorough knowledge of business processes and their context as well as of planning and monitoring processes.
You have an understanding of and feeling for business and the customer; you can steer towards agreements and you are decisive.
Strong in accounting or have the ability to pick up accounting topics rapidly.
You have good analytical abilities and are able to separate the main issue from side issues.
You have a critical, tenacious and proactive attitude and good social, communication and advisory skills.
You are energetic and ambitious and have the will to develop further as a controller.
You are a team player who is also able to work autonomously.
You are willing to dive in the details and make granular reports and analysis on all relevant KPI’s. SAP experience is a pre.
Good command of written and spoken Dutch and English. Other languages are a benefit.
Main employment location is Zaventem / Belgium or Rotterdam / Netherlands. However, the position requires mobility, as the business is carried out at various locations in the Benelux.
