Description The ICT Business Domain Architect Finance & Controlling will take up the advisory role towards the Business Process Owners and Finance VP’s and Directors , in analysing / modelling the existing applications (platform) and evaluating potential (strategic) software solutions in order to fulfil business requirements.

In this role he / she will also act as the bridge between Enterprise Architecture and Business Stakeholders and will define and guard the overall Functional and Application Architecture for Barco on all applications and solutions in the R&D and engineering domain, in collaboration with the other Business Domain Architects and the Enterprise Architect He / she will support on the one hand the cross-

functional business process (re-engineering) team in their continuous improvement efforts. On the other hand he / she will also assist the Business Process Owner and Cluster Lead to define the financial and functional Business Case (benefits, costs, targets) for new projects / solutions / applications and handle, validate, prioritize properly all domain business enhancement requests and follow the correct delivery process (project, release, ) once the request has been accepted Responsibilities

  • Provide technical strategy and direction to ensure the applications and solutions align with and meet business requirements in the engineering and project domain.
  • As part of the team of Business Domain Architects, he / she makes sure that all solutions are consistent and aligned across all relevant business domains.

    He / she will also follow guidelines and standards defined by Enterprise Architecture

  • Analyse business demand, consult- and advise the Barco Management to ensure delivered solutions functionally and technically meet the business needs, also on the long term
  • Assist business stakeholders in defining financial and functional business cases for new projects and business solutions, translate business requirements into specifications for customizing or developments, and in specific cases do customizing himself / herself or assist Business Analysts, Functional Analysts or external experts
  • Define, funnel, qualify and prioritize business demands and design solutions for business processes
  • Support delivery of projects, releases and changes throughout the delivery of the various demands to make sure the accepted (business) demands are delivered conform with the original approved (business) requirements
  • Analyse application utilization and capabilities; design and deploy best business practices around applications and solutions ensuring data control and quality
  • Act as the bridge between the business and IT organization(s) and contribute in creating a (monitoring) framework which guarantees long term process and solutions sustainability in a structured way
  • Education :

  • Master degree in computer science, applied economics and / or (civil) engineering, informatics or equivalent combination of education and working experience
  • Experience :

  • 8-10 years’ minimum experience in Business Process Consulting, problem definition, Architecture / Design / Detailing of Processes in following Core Finance process areas (Core Finance General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets, Controlling, Costing, Treasury, Credit Management) and supporting finance process areas (Credit Management, Fixed Assets, Tax) and cross-
  • stream financial integration process areas with Sales, Procurement and Manufacturing (incl. Finance reporting)

  • Have very profound knowledge of finance software platform integrations regarding on-premise software, hosted single-tenant software or cloud-
  • based or multi-tenant software à Have original thinking in terms of applying principles, theories, techniques and concepts and working with a number of analytic innovations, software technologies and delivery teams as part of strategically important, highly visible initiatives

  • Proven track record of at least 8 10 years (hands-on) experience in SAP ERP (FI, CO, FSCM, PS) in Controlling, Finance, Finance Supply Chain Management and Project Systems and experience in implementations and roll-
  • outs in a similar multinational business

  • Expertise and experience with Technical Architecture : infrastructure, networking, platform Standards, security compliance, dispatcher services, and data bases à Have the ability and knowledge to think in new Industry 4.
  • 0 methodologies is considered as an extra asset

  • Growing or good understanding of Project Management methodologies and principles (e.g. Prince2 or PMBOK)
  • Understand business processes across the whole domain and related systems engineering concepts
  • Deep knowledge of SAP modules : Controlling (CO), Profitability Analysis (CO-PA), Product Costing (CO-PC), Profit Center Accounting (CO-
  • PCA) , Overhead Management (CO-OM), Financial Accounting (FI), General Ledger (FI-GL), Accounts Payable (FI-AP), Accounts Receivable (FI-

    AR), Asset Accounting (FI-AA), Bank Accounting (FI-BL) and relevant experience with SAP BW and other data warehousing concepts Competencies :

  • Very good verbal and written communication including technical writing skills
  • Very good understanding of business processes in the respective domain(s)
  • Strong (demonstrated) business systems analysis, process and data analysis skills (including modelling techniques and methods)
  • Strong abstraction, organization and simplification skills
  • Diplomatic & influential and work cooperative with other individuals & cross multiple business units
  • Ability to conduct cost / benefit analysis
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple task assignments
  • Ability to work with cross-functional teams and interact with different levels in the organization
