For our DSI IT department in Zaventem we are searching for a Database
You will :
Administer the IT infrastructure within an organization, including the physical network (servers, terminals) as well as server applications and software.
Responsibilities are within the IT Administration Function as a generalist with a focus on DB administration or in a combination of disciplines
Administer database utilities, monitors the relationships between the database users and applications, and maintains the organization's databases across multiple platforms and computing environments
Apply understanding of relational database concepts and query languages in order to design required summary or aggregation tables to support analyses
Collaborate with technology / infrastructure staff to identify data relationships and functional requirements analyzes and resolves issues related to information flow and content
Maintain database support tools, database tables and dictionaries and recovery and back-up procedures
Performs data modeling studies and develops detailed data models; maintain data model and entity relationship diagrams
Develop and implements database recovery plans and procedures
Develop and implements database analysis and development policies, standards and procedures
Collaborate with database software vendors and external technical support on issues such as software
You preferably have a Bachelor or Master degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or a related technical degree with a first relevant experience
You have an excellent command of English and French or Dutch, both written and spoken;
You are flexible towards colleagues and deadlines (occasionally working late and working in the weekend are part of the job)
You have excellent knowledge of SQL Server and experience in SharePoint, MS Office applications (Outlook, Excel) Terminal Server, Active Directory, IIS
You have conceptual knowledge of TCP, IP
Experience with VM Ware, Lync and Exchange Server are an asset
