The Power and infrastructures Business Line
Laborelec’s Power and infrastructures activities are being regrouped into one entity in order to increase its service orientation and position activities as a leader on the European market.
The Business Line covers different competence centre and laboratories linked to Thermal assets (like vibrations, mechanics, combustion, biomass, materials, ) and Electrical assets (like transformers, generators and electrical grid equipment, ).
The Business Line covers also different segment of customers with a strong focus in Europe on Grids (not only electrical grids), on hydropower generation and on all Thermal assets for power (or steam) production (for utilities AND industrial customers), District Heating & Cooling, Incinerators,
We are looking for a Head of Segment to lead and develop the Offering & Sales activities of our Power and infrastructures Business Line in Europe.
The Segment is composed of :
a sales team, composed of Business Developers and Key Account Managers, who will generate new leads and close deals with existing and new customers.
an offering team having the lead and working closely together with all competence center across the organization in making proposals and deploying activities.
You develop and lead the sales activities of our Power and infrastructures Business Line in Europe.
You support the Business Line in developing a strong Business and Customer focus (including for Competence Center) going beyond organic growth, acting as a solutions integrator.
You hire and develop your sales team in improving their key sales competencies (like taking the lead, need analysis, handling of objections, negotiation and closing deals at DMU level)
You adapt and build the marketing material needed for your team to effectively develop leads.
You bring focus in your team and orient their actions towards activities with highest value.
You hire and develop your offering team, making sure they bring the right focus on proposals towards quality and cost efficiency.
You define and implement your sales strategy to develop our new value proposals, to increase our customer intimacy and to win markets shares.
You are responsible for the Sales & Offering teams and you drive the development of your segment together with all Laborelec’s departments.
One of your key focus will be : to boost the business towards electrical grids, hydro and thermal power generation, Generation like industries (like incinerators, district heating and cooling, steam generation, flue gas treatment, ), and other industries.
to extend the R&D customer base (like electrical grids, power generation & industrial customers, collaborative research partners ).
You have :
An engineer’s degree with ideally a proven track record as a sales / segment manager.
At least 10 years of experience in leading and developing a commercial team to achieve customer satisfaction with technical products and services in an agile way
A proven experience in realizing strong sales growth and in realizing integrated solutions.
A developed capacity to vulgarise technical and complex solutions into effective marketing material.
A strong experience in defining strategies and the implementation thereof
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
