Context of need

Following the growth of activities in the Energy sector, the Group is looking for a n experienced Lead Buyer (M / F)

The Mission

In the purchasing process, for your portfolio, you will be responsible for managing all the actions required for your purchasing portfolio.

This includes :

  • In collaboration with the pre-projects, requesting and negotiating prices and evaluating the remaining negotiation margin, in order to validate and secure the prices of materials, components and services for which you will be responsible, and which will be used by the Proposals / Estimating ;
  • During the project implementation period : negotiate and purchase in the required quality and timeframe, at the best total cost (TCO / TCP) of simple and complex materials, parts and services, by drawing up a comparison table of offers enabling the purchase decision to be made, either on files under your full responsibility, or on files managed by the Global Category Managers,
  • Permanently :
  • search for new suppliers worldwide including their evaluation and qualification in collaboration with users and the Quality department ;
  • Monitoring and anticipating market developments;
  • provide the Proposal / Estimating department with unit price references or means of calculating budget prices for the materials, components or services you will be responsible for;
  • negotiate and conclude framework contracts and partnerships for certain products or services, within the framework of the CMI Group's purchasing strategy / policy.
  • In addition to managing your purchasing portfolio, you will have to be able to coordinate between the team's buyers and certain internal customers.

    You will also participate in the evolution of purchasing within the sector, particularly in terms of processes and tools.

    Your profile

  • You have a long, technically or commercially oriented higher education (with an affinity for technical products);
  • You have at least 5 years of successful experience as an international lead buyer / category manager in the field of project purchasing and an interest in our activities;
  • You have an acute negotiating ability;
  • You have an irreproachable sense of honesty and ethics;
  • You are a good communicator, both internally and externally; you have an excellent team spirit and are willing to work closely with project managers;
  • You are clear, precise, firm and pugnacious;
  • You are fluent in English and are able to conduct complex negotiations with suppliers in English;
  • You have a good knowledge of SAP (MM module) and the possibilities offered by ERP and the possible evolutions of these systems;
  • You are available for temporary assignments of variable duration, anywhere in the world.
