Ongoing Key purpose of the role :
Discharge the responsibilities of the designated Security Officer role as defined by Belgium Autorité nationale de Sécurité (ANS) in relation to company security clearance.
Responsible for maintaining and building high quality security relationships with customers, stakeholders both internal and externally, and with Governmental bodies to manage risk to BT and its international government customers in Benelux.
Set strategic direction for managing and delivering the contractual security obligations of the key international government accounts in Benelux.
Enhance the security brand of BT in the Benelux in the eyes of our customers through highly effective security delivery.
Own and manage the security governance of the Benelux international government contracts working closely with the respective account and delivery teams.
Engage on all bids to ensure that security aspects are designed in and work with the BT Security Go To Market teams to ensuring BT’s security portfolio is considered to meet customer’s security and risk requirements.
What you’ll be doing :
Ensuring that the security rules with regard to company security clearance are enforced and complied with in BT Global Services Belgium BVBA
Manage all personnel security clearance requests required to meet contractual requirements of the governmental contracts held by BT Global Services Belgium BVBA
Design, implement and manage a security programme covering the Benelux International Government accounts to provide customer and internal stakeholders assurance that contractual security commitments are being met
Working with the account and operational team to drive the compliance programme into all the accounts
Building high quality security relationships with peers and counterparts within the customer teams
Creating and maintaining security dashboard reporting which demonstrates security posture which will be shared and reviewed with the customer.
Use dashboard and broader compliance data to drive security improvement plans and initiative.
Responsible for the implementation, measurement and monitoring of targets to ensure that improvements are achieved
Role model security behaviours and BT’s approach to security risk management to further enhance the reputation of BT
Responsible lead for all security incidents working closely with BT’s security and operational teams to manage these incidents.
Provide high quality reporting and close working with account teams and customers during any incident
Ensure that security incident management process are in place, tested and updated
Showcase BT’s security portfolio to drive incremental opportunities, both within these customer accounts and more broadly within BT Benelux
Work closely with bid teams to ensure that any new bid from this customer set is scrutinised from a security perspective to ensure that security is designed in and no unacceptable security risks are created
As necessary manage the security compliance of any of BT’s downstream suppliers to these customers, ensuring that security requirements are in contracts and compliance maintained
Be the focal point for providing security advice guidance to respective account teams and operational units as they pertain to this customer set
Identify and manage emerging security risks which could be relevant / impactful for the Benelux International Government customers
Manage a small operational security team focused on BaU contractual security compliance
Manage the security relationships with Belgian and European Government authorities in relation to these customers
Deliver appropriate security education and training to BT teams involved in the delivery of these contracts
The skills and experience you will need :
Government Security skills and experience in meeting company security requirement as defined by ANS. Or transferable experience from working with similar bodies such as NATO or EU
Belgium Governmental Security Clearance currently holds or can hold a security clearance
Security professional able to work across all security disciplines to manage security risks to BT and it’s customers
Stakeholder Management and Leadership strong written and verbal communications up to and include Cx level, able to present at senior governance bodies internally and externally
Commercially / Strategic strong understanding of the commercial environment we operate in, be able to operate strategically (define and set a vision)
Thought Leadership - Enhance BT’s standing with its customers by demonstrating leadership on all aspects of operational security risk management
Risk champion / evangelist - imbed effective security risk management through personal influence, educating and effective collaboration
Languages - Dutch and English and preferable also French
In the first 12 months you will :
Bring external experience and professional expertise to review and benchmark the effectiveness of BT’s current contractual security approach for these customers
Gain a full and detailed view of contractual security requirements for all in scope contracts
Build high quality relationships with relevant BT teams and customers
Deliver a security compliance dashboard and underpinning reporting that can be presented to customers and internal stakeholders
Drive change / transformation programme(s) to ensure that security risk management is included in all of the in scope contracts
Championed security risk management and define a programme to embed within the culture of the BT account and delivery teams
