Within a newly created sales team, the business developer will be in charge of acquiring new business for our Meetings & Events activity, as well as developing existing clients from our business travel portfolio.
As such, the successful candidate will build a prospecting plan based on agreed targets.
The business developer will be the primary point of contact of the prospects and existing accounts’ purchasing function, but also the marketing, communication, sales, or other relevant functions.
He / she will also oversee the development of our reputation, and will take part in all major industry events.
Identify prospects in the Netherlands and define an approach strategy, together with the sales teams from our business travel activity
Manage leads data in CRM systems
Evaluate and understand the specific needs of customers
Set up RFP response presentations in collaboration with operational teams
Present personalized proposals to the various stakeholders
Achieve set sales targets
Contribute actively to the development of the value proposition through benchmarking and sharing of best practices
Desired profile :
Business school, or university degree
Solid business development experience in a B2B environment
First experience in sales development in the MICE sector, in the Netherlands
Very good knowledge of MICE market players in the Netherlands
Strong result orientation
Real skills in acquiring new accounts and / or events
Ability to develop and implement strategies / approaches to stimulate the growth of American Express Meetings & Events
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to develop internal and external relationships, providing insights and tips to improve the value and cost-
effectiveness of Meetings & Events solutions
Strong financial skills
Team spirit and ability to develop synergies
Advanced command of PowerPoint and other presentation tools
Excellent presentation skills
Mandatory French and English fluency
Ability to evolve in a matrixed and international organization : flexibility and adaptability
