Job Description Summary
BD is launching the Athena 2 project in the EMEA region. With this project, BD is encompassing changes in the way BD is working, supported by new IT tools.
Athena 2 will, alongside the Legal Entity Integration project (LEI), merge the legacies of BD and Bard entities and migrate the current order-to-cash and finance processes as well as new IT solutions to a new way of working.
Athena2 - FUSION program is the Supply Chain implementation project for the European Distribution Centers of BD in Olen (Legacy Bard) and Temse (Legacy BD), ensuring successful project implementation and achievement of Business goals : Cross functional Supply Chain, Bard Integration implemented, implemented Multiple state-of-art solution, upgraded delivery network, and Cross functional Demand Planning process.
As a FUSION SME, you are a member of the Athena 2 FUSION program with a primary focus to secure the program deliverables within the Carrier Integration and Transport Planning framework.
In this role you will be working closely together with the EMEA Transport Network Architecture team.
Main Purpose / Scope role :
You contribute to the successful implementation of ATHENA 2 in EMEA, within the boundaries of the respective Carrier Integration and Transport Planning work stream :
You attain a thorough understanding of current Olen / Temse set up and the A2 Solution Design for capabilities within SAP S4 embedded TMS
You represent the function as a subject matter expert
You support in completion of work stream deliverables
You collaborate closely with the Olen & Temse sites, TMS core team, WMS core team, Fusion Logistic transportation and documentation Lead, Carriers & Centiro
During the go-live & stabilization period of the program, you will be crucial to support the day-to-day continuity. Based on this gained experience, this role will evolve to a process specialist in transportation and data management as a support to the logistics operations, day to day problem solving and any continuous improvements within our roadmap.
Job Description
System Configuration and Documentation - TMS :
You understand Transport planning processes and how the systems configuration and master data setup match these processes in the best possible way.
The scope of this role is master data related to transportation planning - both Inbound and Outbound-, palletization rules, incompatibility rules, process tendering and subcontracting, load planning, transportation network data and carrier setup.
In addition, you will gain knowledge in transportation-related master data in systems linked to the TMS : Centiro (Carrier Integration platform), Manhattan (Warehouse management system) and CTSI (Freight Audit System).
You understand transportation processes and perform the right TMS configuration in the system to ensure most effective & efficient operations.
You align system configuration between Temse & Olen to maximize leverage towards standardized processes.
You maintain the system documentation of the performed system configuration including best practices
Integration & User acceptance testing support - TMS :
You ensure correct master data set-up as an enabler for the execution of integration and user acceptance testing.
You perform root cause analysis on issues encountered during testing
You analyze any defects, resulting from tests, and assist in the resolution process within the team.
You identify and support the necessary test scenario’s and execute system testing.
Training & QMS support - TMS :
You support the identified trainers to get them towards the necessary knowledge level & experience to execute the trainings for the operations people.
You provide the support to get the site QMS (Quality Management System) system up-to-date.
Go-Live / Hypercare support - TMS :
During the cutover-period, you will support in data preparation and validation activities.
During hypercare, you will act as primary point of contact to support the operational transportation teams in investigating any data related issues and assess the root causes of these problems, including research on potential solutions.
After go-live / hypercare :
You will act as SME giving input for any transportation changes and maintain or change the related master data. You will set up the necessary master data for new carrier and / or new product launches across different systems.
You will have an insight in the E2E process related to the transportation planning and carrier setup and have a thorough understanding of how the different systems interconnect.
This will allow you to act as the point of contact in case of issues by analyzing the problem, finding the root cause and drive the necessary actions to resolve the issue related to the transportation planning or carrier master data setup
You will be involved as a transportation data SME in continuous improvement projects.
Profile & Requirements :
You have several years of experience in functional data management
Experience with Transportation Management Systems and / or SAP would be considered a plus
You have a solid understanding of the End-2-End Quote To Cash process
You are fluent in Dutch and English
You are agile & results-driven
You are a strong team player and a good all-level communicator
You are customer-oriented
You have strong analytical skills and can work autonomously
