PURPOSE

As one of key player in backend micro-service application team who will place a critical role in supporting design, development and delivery of the backend micro-services and backoffice applications.

KEY ACCOUNTABLITIES

Appreciate business requirements and business processes

Support solutioning and develop technical specifications, Coding, implementation, integration, documentation and user guide according to agreed standards

Maintenance, support and ensure necessary changes are implemented and documented

Support system integration testing and user acceptance testing

Provide user and system support during and post implementation

Maintain allocated applications by trouble-shooting problems and providing effective solutions

Participate in projects, feasibility studies and functional analysis.

Activities

KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS

Following KPIs are set,

oAbility to complete and deliver great quality web application and micro-services on time.

oQuality and scalability mindset by practising test driven approach (TDD)

oAbility to work closely together internally (different application teams, BA and QA within IT department) and externally (with Marketing, Finance and Operation stakeholders) to deliver project on time.

o R&D on latest technologies and adopting new technologies to bring scalability, stability and robustness to backend ecosystem.

o Delivery of business value via BU engagements.

oDelivery of enhanced levels of communication and co-operation between Group IT and the business

oCoordination of IT research and development at Group IT to give best value to all BUs from individual and shared business activities

SKILLS / KNOWLEDGE :

oProgramming : Java / JEE, Webservices (REST), Spring and Hibernate framework, JavaScript Framework JQuery, HTML5, CSS3, Bootstrap

oData & Reporting : XML, XSL, FOP, iText, Jasper Report

oDatabase & SQL : MS SQL Server, Oracle, H2 / HSQL, SQL Lite,k MySQL, MSSQL, Memcahce, Redis, Mongo DB, RabbitMQ

oBuild Tools : GIT, Jenkins, Gradle, GIT

oGood documentation and communications skill

oInsurance’s knowledge or startup experience will be added advantages

EXPERIENCE :

oRequired candidates with 2 to 3 full cycle Application development experiences

oJEE environment system integration (Windows / Linux)

oInitiative, independent and good user liaison skill

oInsurance company exposure preferred

QUALIFICATIONS :

oTertiary qualification, preferred

oDiploma / Higher diploma
