Job Description : Huntsman have a rare opportunity for an experienced Sales Manager to develop a market and customer focused commercial organisation in our Coatings, Adhesives and Industrial Chemical business across Europe.
Reporting to the Sales Director EMEA you will lead a team of Account Managers to promote an innovative and creative work environment within our Performance Products business division.
This is an exciting opportunity for a proven Sales Leader, committed to driving commercial improvements and change management within a well-established portfolio who can identify diversification opportunities within a highly differentiated chemical business.
Requirements : Degree qualified in a business or technical (Chemistry, Chemical Engineering etc) discipline with previous experience in a Senior Sales Management role within the Chemical sector.
Proactive personality who is motivated by business development and driving business within existing accounts.Agile and adaptable approach with the ability to constantly develop and adjust commercial strategy in line with business and market needs.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to interact across strategic marketing units, business functions and manufacturing sites in EMEAGood understanding of pricing strategies in specialty chemical markets with the ability to collate and interpret market data to support both commercial and pricing initiativesPrevious experience in successfully leading and coaching a regional teamAmbitious personality with the desire to progress and develop further within a global organisationFluent in English is essentially preferably with one other European language (e.
g. German)Additionally, as the Sales Manager, you will : Develop and execute the strategic sales plan for the assigned markets, in order to achieve the agreed sales targets and to expand the company’s customer base.
Propose annual sales targets (volume / price / margin) and achieve agreed targets, including gap closure plans as needed.
Establish and manage commercial contracts as required in close co-operation with legal and finance.Lead, coach and develop the sales team to meet goals and optimize work processes.
Act as the pricing excellence champion within market segmentEnsure that reliable management information and forecasts are produced and reported.
Obtain accurate market intelligence and share with the wider business team.Evaluate current sales operational methodologies and identify and implement process improvements in close co-operation with the commercial excellence managerWork closely with marketing teams to agree & deliver annual New Business Development plans.
