For the recently created department inside R&D, Advanced Innovation Incubation Operations department, we are seeking an Implant Project Manager.

In this new team you will manage the collaboration with strategic start-ups, research partners by offering contract services (design, prototyping, manufacturing) using the expertise and technology building blocks from Cochlear.

In an entrepreneurial environment you will work in a highly agile, dynamic and lean cross-functional team, start-up style wearing many different hats, providing contract services towards start-ups and research partners for different exciting medical device applications.

What you will bring to the role!

  • Previous experience managing projects.
  • Previous experience in managing a project from inception to completion.
  • Experience in managing delivery / implementation teams comprising of technical and functional professionals.
  • Knowledge of and experience with estimating and scheduling project tasks in multiple and diverse environments.
  • Ability to work independently with limited guidance.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills.
  • Good analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Very strong customer service orientation.
  • Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
  • Working knowledge of the English language
  • Work Activities

  • Analyses, manages and controls project risks, changes and budgets.
  • Manages day-to-day operational aspects of the project and scope.
  • Manages all aspects of interaction and engagement with external partners.
  • Possesses general understanding in the areas of implant development, verification / validation of manufacturing processes.
  • Supports the senior manager incubation operations in setting up / optimizing required business processes for the incubation structure.
  • Gains a deep understanding for the business and customer needs for the product and knows how to interpret customer conversations into pragmatic solutions that serve both Cochlear and the customer.
  • Manages the process of innovation and change effectively. Remains on the forefront of emerging industry practices.
