As a new addition to our EMEA IT team and based in one of our Human Health subsidiaries across Europe, we are looking for a IT Solution & Data Architect Lead (m / f), who will be responsible for the design of the new solution developments and major enhancements to the existing solutions and data / information management, for both internally MSD facing solutions and externally customer or patient solutions.
This role is responsible for managing end-to-end architecture and data landscape as a product’.The primary activities include but are not limited to :
Responsibility for the development & refinement of the development standards & practices, defining and updating the technology stack, aligned with the MSD enterprise standards
Collaborate with the business, the digital leads and the IT platform leads to understand the MSD strategy and translate functional & non-
functional requirements into effective design & architectural guidance
Articulate solution options, evaluate trade-offs and influence key decisions.
Define, develop and communicate information management standards relating to the location, media type and security requirements to facilitate efficient and secure management of all data elements, as well as understand market-
specific regulatory and compliance needs relevant to digital capabilities in the Pharma / Vaccine industry
Evaluate software and data providers to ensure interoperability within internal and / or external technology landscape
Collaborate with IT and commercial business units to leverage existing and future IT and data platforms and deploy integrated solutions
Generate framework concepts and code definitions for local-specific enhancements to global platforms and provide guidance to market-based agile teams
Design quality solutions in both agile and scalable methodologies
Contribution to platform solutions by working with cross regional teams (IT Hubs)
Contribution as part of market agile teams to the delivery of product releases by resolving design issues and questions during the delivery lifecycle
Being informed on market trends and new use cases for design, data models, and analytics and suggests evolution of the architecture according to these external and internal circumstances
Masters’ or bachelors’ Degree in a quantitative field such as Computer Science, Business Management or similar with 15 years’ relevant experience in IT
Preferably experience in IT consulting, and / or in an Information Management role
7+ years’ relevant experience in a commercial environment (sales / marketing / digital)
7+ years’ experience in the development of sales and marketing platforms, as well as a good understanding of application development, Maintenance and Support for Enterprise Applications (Cloud / API / Web Services)
Ability to translate business requirements into software solution in support of the commercial business
Strong understanding of Scrum and Agile methodologies
Desired : Understanding of various commercial business processes including sales force effectiveness, compliance, multi-
channel marketing, master data, contracting, and digital health solutions
SalesForce Advanced Developer Certification is advantageous
Business fluency in English. Good knowledge of German, French, Spanish or Italian would be advantageous
Project and Service Management skills : Prince2 Practitioner, ITIL, SCRUM Master or similar skills
Basic knowledge of Test Management and Quality Assurance
Strong analytical personality and problem-solving skills with a strong understanding of sales and marketing practices
Motivated team player with excellent interpersonal skills
