Thon Hotel Bristol Stephanie & Thon Residence Florence consists out of 142 of the largest rooms in Brussels, combining elegance with spacious comfort and 66 one, two and three bedroom apartments.

Both are located in one of the liveliest areas of Brussels, on the trendy Avenue Louise a young, multicultural and artistic area.

Main purpose of job :

We seek a colleague who likes to think independently, dares to ask questions and takes his / her own initiative. The primary task, together with the other colleagues of the reception team, is to create a consistently good atmosphere and service to our hotel guests.

He / she needs to be incessantly on his / her toes to ensure that high quality service is provided, while ensuring that the reception operates efficiently and respects the different targets set by the Front Office Manager.

Responsibilities / Tasks :

  • Check-in / Check-out / Make reservations / Prepare group arrivals / files.
  • Provide assistance to our guests where needed and assist guest with information on local attractions, museums, restaurants and so on.
  • Ensure that the service is adapted to the special needs of our guests (VIPs, customer with disabilities, special requests, etc.).
  • Ensure good communicate flow with the different shifts and departments.
  • Handle the overbooking situation and follow-up on room balance accordingly to management strategy.
  • Respect security measures and reporting to the right person when needed.
  • Deal with customer complaints quickly, confidently, effectively and appropriately.
  • Analyze relevant information about an issue and make conscious decisions for action.
  • Skill set we are looking for :

    You are flexible and initiative-oriented and thrive in a hectic working environment.

  • Good communication skills, both written and oral in English and French are a must and any other language is an extra.
  • Friendly personality and high standard of customers' approach.
  • Dynamic, motivated with a professional personal presentation and customer service oriented.
  • Team player and positive minded attitude.
  • Computer literate (excel and word) - PMS system knowledge such as Opera is an advantage.
  • Good organization and communication skills.
  • Can handle more than one task / situation at the time and keep control in stressful situations.
  • Practical working experience in Front Office Area (reception, cashiering, night reception) is a plus but not a must.
