You will be working towards your PhD degree in the Maes group of the research division Organic Synthesis (ORSY) of the Department of Chemistry.
The Maes group is a partner in the Centre of Excellence and the Valorization Platform of the University of Antwerp. Your research project will deal with the development of new synthetic methodologies to transform biorenewable compounds into useful building blocks for the commodity and fine chemicals industry.
This research fits in the framework of a research line on biorenewables in the group supported by several multipartner projects of FWO, of Catalisti a holder of master diploma with a good theoretical and practical knowledge of organic synthetic chemistry you will investigate the development of synthetic routes towards commodity and fine chemicals based on biorenewable building blocks.
