Job Description :

The Training Manager plans, organizes, coordinates and controls the training and development activities of Asco Belgium in order to contribute to the constant training and talent development, required to achieve the expected business results in the short, medium and long term.

Roles and responsibilities :

  • Training framework : Develop and implement an overall training and development framework (system / policies) for the company within which training and development activities will be managed.
  • Networking : Scan the market and choose the tools, service providers and external stakeholders needed to establish a state-of-the-art approach for the different training and development activities.
  • Development & training plan : Assist and advise managers and jobholders in determining their needs to translate these in effective training and development plans to ensure appropriate training, coaching and development of all employees.
  • Budget / cost : Provide all data and advice in the preparation of the annual HR plan and budget to ensure that it encompasses the required resources to continue and even expand the Asco training and development efforts.
  • Research & funds reasing : Manage and continuously monitor the market to obtain the necessary funds to enable the company to continue to invest in training and development.
  • Profile :

    Education : Master's degree or equivalent through experience

    Languages : Fluent in Dutch, French and English

    Skills / Experience :

  • Minimum 5-10 years in HR with experience in all aspects of training and talent development
  • Has experience and is familiar with technical training in an industrial production environment
  • Understands and speaks the language of the shop floor
  • Understands the need of the business and is quick to identify and implement learning and development opportunities
  • Has a creative and solutions-oriented approach with an ability to drive change initiatives
  • Takes responsibility and can make decisions
  • Is an enthusiastic team player
  • Has thorough and advanced coaching & training skills
  • Has an analytical and structured approach
  • Has excellent communication skills
