Team Leadership

Coaches and motivates team members to achieve / exceed territory goals and optimise individual and team engagement

Develop individual team members to continuously improve overall level of performance in their role and for future development

Builds a high performing sales team by recruiting candidates and effectively on-boarding new hires

Conducts performance reviews and capability assessment within the framework of Amgen’s performance management process

Organizes activities that ensure clarity, direction, and training of the team

Strategic Analysis & Planning

Develops strategic customer and market insights, and key stakeholder mapping to determine the most effective sales plan to meet goals

Analyses the sales performance of each brand and identifies levers for action

Keeps BU team informed of market changes relevant to brand strategy

Involves and gains buy-in from internal & external stakeholders in the preparation of plans to ensure alignment and priorization of activities

Sales Force Performance & Execution

Ensures execution of the Marketing / Commercial tactics

Tracks progress of marketing messages and programs

Monitors, evaluates and acts on field force KPIs to maximize SF effectiveness quantitatively and qualitatively

Supports the team members on external key customer visits as needed

Monitors implementation of PoA throughout sales cycles and ensures budget spend within agreed time, costs, compliance and quality parameters

Administration

Manages budgets to ensure appropriate allocation of resources to meet the plan and financial control

Ensures Team adherence to administration and reporting requirements, e.g. CRM, MAP completion

Authority

Budget spent within agreed parameters

Representatives expenses

Implementation of POA for region

Product Specialists recruitment / disciplinary procedures

Outputs

Agreed regional sales goals and other performance expectations

Administration and reporting requirements

Compliance with Amgen policies and procedures

Minimum Requirements

5 years track-record of success in pharmaceutical selling

Demonstrated leadership abilities

Fluency in Dutch, French and English

Knowledge of local legal and compliance environment

Experience with computer systems (CRM databases and MS Office)

Preferred Requirements

  • 8+ years of industry experience in sales and marketing roles (hospital market)
  • Proven experience of managing a Sales team
  • Bachelor’s degree in life science or (bio) medical sciences
  • Recent experience in Oncology / Hematology area is a strong asset
  • Experience in interacting with various disciplines and organizational levels
  • Experience in project management
