Local IT Project Manager is in charge of managing the delivery of local entity projects and to support the Local IT Managers in the DZ in delivering all local projects on time within budget and scope and in line with the Regional Project Management strategy
In the same time, (s)he is in charge of application of Group Project Management methods within the Local DZ in order to enable excellence in local project delivery within the DZ.
S)he contributes to the regional community of Local IT Project Managers and Business Analysts.Dimension of the roleAXA Assistance aims at becoming AXA Group preferred networks & service company and a powerhouse for partnerships development as a founding entity of AXA Partners.
A key enabler for this business transformation (with key topics on offer, distribution, operations and network management) will be for Europe to be able launch and manage strategic projects both transversally.
The role holder manages all local projects with success (on time, on scope, on budget) in close coordination with the IT Manager and Business Stakeholders
While managing directly local IT projects, (s)he escalates any issues to the Regional Project Team, to ask for Regional and / or Central support, where needed.
The role holder applies locally existing and future Group Project Management Methodologies, in order to enable excellence in local project delivery.
In the same time, to be able to profitably scale up its model and improve its ability to invest, AXA Assistance must diminish strongly the fragmentation of the IT effort, all the more in a context of tight financial margins.
The Local Project Managers will play an active role to deliver projects within budget, time and quality. As part of the Local IT Team, the role holder :
Reports on specific project progress in line with agreed project governance, escalating issues as necessary to the Regional Project Team
Ensures the professionalization of practices by training where necessary the local stakeholders on Group Project Management practices, including Agile Project Management Methodologies.Key Responsabilities
Managing all local IT Projects, by taking responsibility of projects from the design stage through to completion and handover to the client, with a priority focus given to internal and external customer satisfaction.
Working together with the Regional Project Team on cross-entity projects and on the application of the strategic group projects.
Communicate with Local IT Managers and Business Stakeholders on both on Waterfall and Agile Project Management processes, to clarify the desired outcome of a project.
Properly scoping, managing the budget and resources related to local projects.
Submitting progress reports of local Projects to local stakeholders and senior managers.
Identifying project risks and escalating issues where necessary
In coordination with the Regional Project Team, being an agent of change on the application of Group Project Management standards and methodologies,
Ensure that all Local Project Management activities are in line with Group security policies and standards, while being proactive in the remediation of all vulnerabilities or issues.
Contribute to the community of Regional and Local Project Managers within the Europe Region
Prepare and present together with Business project managers the different Gate validation documents.
Play a key role in the presentation and preparation of the Architecture Review Board validation documents.Technical skills :
More than 3 years of experience in project and program management
A track record of successfully delivering business critical projects and programs
Experience in DIGITAL, IT and Operational Excellence projects in Service Delivery sector
Knowledge of IT environment, IT Solutions and Information Security Practices
Experience with both Waterfall and Agile Project Management methodologiesSoft skills :
Stakeholder management, with a special focus on internal and external customer-satisfaction
Resilience and rigor skills
Action and result oriented, analytical mindset
Excellent project reporting and presentation skills
Ability to work in a matrix environment
Strong communication skills in French and English (verbal and in writing), Dutch is an asset
