Position Purpose & Summary : The role is a European Biodiesel compliance role. The Sustainable Biofuels Specialist will develop good working relationships with colleagues, suppliers and customers.
With training and support the successful candidate will soon become the go-to’ person for biofuels related compliance issues.
This role will involve taking responsibility for distribution of sustainability documents to customers coordinating with colleagues in the Ghent Supply Chain and colleagues who are geographically remote.
The role is required to understand what the sustainability contract clauses mean, taking into account rules and commercial aspects, then making an allocation from available products.
Following this you will ensure the documents supplied to the customer meet these requirements. This role requires a high learning capacity, attention to detail and self-
motivation.This role is an opportunity to develop as a specialist in the requirements of European biofuels market working with colleagues, customers and suppliers in multiple countries.
Principal Accountabilities : 30% Mass Balance database management and interpretation of the data
Oversee the quality of data input into ERP systems (One World Aforce, Biofuels Tool & SAP - which is not yet used but in the pipeline)
Be accountable for outbound allocations of sustainability data to customers within the rules of the certification system
Monitor performance in getting the required information to customers and report data for compliance, customers, internal business requirements.
Understand customer needs and make a plan on how to meet them
Back-up for the Technical administrator to enter and verify data in database systems of Cargill systems and national authorities
30% Legislation, advice and guidance
Understand the individual Market Biodiesel sustainability requirements and how to comply
Develop working knowledge of biofuel certification schemes under which the business operate (ISCC EU and 2BSvs)
Keep up to date to latest changes to the market rules and understand how they impact the business
Provide support to the Biodiesel Commercial and Supply Chain team on the rules for complying with biodiesel markets
Advise suppliers and customers on certification and compliance
20% Prepare documentation for customers
Prepare a range of different documents depending on the customer and end market destination
Develop good relationships with Suppliers and Customers for sustainability related matters and other biofuels data enquiries as appropriate
20% Checking contract clauses, confirmations and contract clauses
Understand supplier contract requirements and assess when they are met, and if not what is needed
Check supplier documents received against contract requirements and spot any gaps, request completion of the of data directly with supplier.
Seek support from Supply Chain and Subject Matter Expert colleagues as needed.
Support the Supply Chain team in verifying contract input on sustainability / national compliance including accurate and complete contract confirmations.
Undertake internal audits and participate in external audits
Priorities work and organize their own time
Undertake tasks with minimum supervision
Required Qualifications :
Educated to degree level or equivalent standard and minimum 5 years professional workplace experience
Diligent with excellent organisation skills
Excellent interpersonal skills, able to build up a good rapport and trust with customers, suppliers and the Cargill Biodiesel business
Ability to prioritise work and take on accountability and reponsibility
Work well under pressure and be proactive in working out business needs and how to co-ordinate supply and demand sustainability requirements
High learning capacity and self study aptitude
Advanced knowledge and skills in the use of computer programs such as Excel
Ability to understand detailed information and apply knowledge
Ability to learn tasks and complete role without supervision
Ability to multitask and adapt to sudden and frequently changing priorities

Preferred Qualifications :
Experience of auditing and / or working to ISO standards
Knowledge of supply chain and logistic principles
Expected to quickly reach a level where he / she can work with limited supervision
Fluency in written and spoken English is essesntial
French / German / Spanish / Italian Language skills would be advantageous but not necessary
