Sales Manager Chocolatiers Belux (m / f)

MISSION

The mission of the Sales Manager Chocolatiers Belux is to develop profitable sales and create a strong long-term partnership with new and existing customers.

To do so he / she will

  • coordinate and manage the national business for chocolatiers sales channels and the chocolatiers sales team in close relationship with customer service and Belcolade plant;
  • actively promote the Group’s chocolate product lines in cooperation with Marketing; R&D and other sales channels ( Industry and artisans) in Belgium & Luxembourg;
  • manage customer projects related to the development of new business in line with the Belux strategic plan and in collaboration with the Belux team and Puratos headquarters Business Units.
  • TEAM MANAGEMENT

  • Select, recruit, retain, daily coach and empower the chocolatiers sales team.
  • Ensure training & refreshment training of the team in their specific domains.
  • Act as back-up for own team members.
  • Manage OPEX & CAPEX for the Chocolatiers Sales department.
  • Manage the administrative aspects of the sales.
  • ACCOUNT MANAGEMENT

  • Manage a portfolio of customers together with the chocolatiers sales team and grow the collaboration with them in line with the Puratos Belux vision and strategy;
  • Achieve the following targets : volume / sales / net profits / market share / expenses.

    Develop long term partner relationships with top customers thanks to regular visits and contacts :

  • Organize regular customer meetings and participate to account steering committees when relevant;
  • Maintain & grow existing customer base by presenting new concepts ( Inspiration Days’, specific events, );
  • Enlarge customer base through active prospection
  • Map the chocolatier landscape in Belgium, develop Key Account Plans for the top customers and share with the team and the customer.
  • BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT AND PROJECT MANAGEMENT

  • Manage and support internal and customer projects to boost the growth of our chocolate sales in line with the Group and Belux vision & strategy and in collaboration with all internal stakeholders (other key account managers, Marketing Belux, operations and the Business Units).
  • Develop and maintain the necessary technical knowledge on our product portfolio in order to be the bridge between customers, R&D and operations for more efficient and effective opportunity follow-up.
  • Coordinate new product and new concept launch ensuring on time product availability, adequate sales and marketing support.
  • Lead triangular chocolate projects with Retail and QSR accounts in collaboration with the Retail / QSR KAM by presenting finished product concepts and introducing the appropriate industrial partner.
  • Focus on added value, innovative and differentiating products with adequate storytelling, marketing concept and pricing approach.
  • ORGANIZATION

  • Manage and coordinate Chocolatiers sales team priorities and activities
  • Use of Key Account Plans / Meeting preparation & follow up / Sales Presenters / Product Sampling / Group’s innovation Centers / Sales meetings / Sales negotiations.
  • Establish sales budget for own customer portfolio and follow up.
  • Plan and organize daily activities according to priorities, customers and objectives.
  • Coordinate complex projects with different stakeholders both internally and externally.
  • REPORTING

  • Participate actively in sales meetings & report regularly : visits, activities, results, market conditions, customers’ product and service needs, comptition news.
  • Take all necessary initiatives and contacts in order to permanently develop knowledge on products, concepts, processes, customers, market trends, etc.
  • Participate in all relevant training activities in order to update knowledge about Group structure & network, products, applications & processes.

  • YOUR PROFILE

  • Preferably 5-10 years’ experience in similar role, good marketing feeling and a passion for food.
  • Preferably background in Chocolate or food industry
  • Development level of a master’s degree
  • Technical background is a plus
  • Ability to communicate in French, Dutch and English
