The Associate Director, Strategic Marketing, Hepatitis for the Global Commercial Strategy Organization, Hepatitis ID is responsible for developing differentiated commercial strategies to optimize the value of our global Janssen portfolio of antivirals for treatment Hepatitis B (HBV) and Hepatitis D (HDV), in collaboration with key functions across the Global Commercial Strategy Organization (GCSO), Janssen Research and Development (R&D), and Janssen business regions.

Our HBV and HDV antiviral assets are part of the Hepatitis DAS within the IDV Therapeutic Area and are currently in clinical development in patient’s suffering from Chronic Hepatitis B and Chronic Hepatitis D.

This position reports to the Global Commercial Marketing Leader for Hepatitis.Key Responsibilities : Co-create Hepatitis B (HBV) & D (HDV) treatments by optimally partnering with R&D on cross-functional Early Compound Development Teams and within the DAS, to shape highly differentiated products with strong evidence-based value propositions.

Partner with R&D functional leaders including clinical, regulatory, virology, immunology and CMC to devise compound development plans that optimize each asset and the portfolio across their lifecycles.

Devise commercial strategies for HBV and HDV treatments, including market definition, brand vision, value strategy, differentiation, and positioning.

  • Own the creation and execution of well-coordinated commercial readiness and launch plans, embedding external insights from patients, health care providers, and payers;
  • collaborate with Regional partners.Own the full Value Excellence process across the Hepatitis DASLead the Global Commercial Team strategies and interactionsForm part of the Commercial and Medical Affairs Strategy teamsTeam with Global Medical Affairs and Global Market Access to develop and advance strategies for medical education, publications, market access and reimbursement.

    Provide global insights for strategic investments, forecasting, supply-chain planning, and business planning. Take initiative toward innovative portfolio solutions from clinical trial innovations to customer engagement strategies with the aim to maximize the value of the Hepatitis portfolio.

    The candidate will gain experience creating the global portfolio strategy for assets within the Hepatitis DAS.QualificationsEducation : A Bachelor's degree is required.

    An advanced degree in business or life sciences is preferred.Experience and Skills : Required : A minimum of 5 years of business experience in the pharmaceutical industry is required, with detailed exceptional results, leadership and teamwork.

    Strong critical thinking and analytical skills are required, as are the abilities to master complexity and to integrate insights into strategiesStrong communication skills and ability to manage across the matrixAcumen with scientific and clinical data, and the ability to dialogue with Research / Scientific and Medical / Clinical colleaguesIn-line marketing experience is required, focused on professional promotion, professional education, PR / communications, and sales force educationProduct launch experience in pharmaceuticalsConsistent demonstration of teamwork, collaboration, inclusion, and strong business partnershipsCandidate must have strong leadership skills as well as excellent presentation and communication skillsDemonstrated results in planning, prioritizing and leading projects, an ability to influence without authority, and agency / vendor management experiencesPreferred : Experience in infectious diseases or biologicsExperience in Asia Pacific marketsOther : This position is located in Raritan, NJ or Beerse, Belgium and will require up to 30% domestic and / or international travel.
