The project will focus on the development andevaluation of new silicone or silicone hybrids additives for the use in acrylicand polyurethane based wood, metal and leather coatings.
The project willconsist in a majority of laboratory work that will cover the aspect ofemulsification and application of industrial.
Coating in a lab environment. Thekey focus will be the evaluation of more ecologically accepted ingredients inthe formulation of silicone paint additives to comply with the more stringentregulations and change in consumer behaviors.
The understanding of lifecycle of the major ingredients will be determined. Depending on the progress, relevancy andsuccess of the research project, the intern will also be responsible to definescope of potential invention protection and technical documentation to supportproduct commercialization.
We are looking fora candidate currently studying for a Master's Degree or equivalent with a goodworking knowledge of English to evolve, adapt in a multicultural team.
You haveexperience in working in a lab and safety is your priority. You have an interestin formulation, emulsions and coatings application testing.
You will also berequired to be autonomous, organized and open minded.
You can start between January and ideally notlater than March 2020 for a period of 6 months (exact timing to be discussed).
This offer is notlimited to graduation year students, more junior candidates will also beconsidered, based on talents and competencies.
