As our Warehouse Management Open System (WMOS) Platform Engineeryou will provide system engineering & administration for our WMOS platformshosted in the Cloud.
You will work on projects that are on the roadmap for thisplatform. Full a team member, you will help deliver the following services forthis platform : Software Installation and Configuration, Plan for upgrades andPatches, Performance Management, Capacity Planning, and System Maintenance.
Youwill report to the ELC TechOps Engineering Manager (Laakdal, Be) and to theGlobal Director Platform Engineering (Portland, USA).
Follow, further define and adjust the Standard Operating Proceduresfor supporting and managing the WMOS environment.
Provide technical leadership and knowledge to your team mates. Youwill consult and perform engineering support, problem solving, and issueresolution in cooperation with internal and external resources, working closelytogether with your global colleagues in USA & Asia.
Identify technical issues and determine options for issueresolution and risk mitigation.
Contribute to implementing technical solutions by performingtechnical analysis and making recommendations or advising the management team.
Create and apply architecture, governance, security, and globalprocess standards to system changes and deployments. You establish, maintainand apply coding / configuration standards and best practices.
Conduct performance monitoring and analyze performance againstbenchmarks. You identify tuning / optimization opportunities, makerecommendations and implement performance remediation.
Conduct operational health assessments for our WMOS platforms.
Masters degree in Information Technology,Computer Science.
With Manhattan Warehouse Management forOpen Systems (WMOS 2017) knowledge and experience, you have an advantage.
Deep knowledge of Redhat 6.x Linux,including writing complex scripts is an absolute must, extended with WebsphereMQ experience an advantage.
WMOS Supply Chain Intelligence (SCI) 2012or 2017 on Cognos Linux.
Installation & support of businessapplications in a Linux, Unix,Widlfly (formerly known as JBoss) and Oracleenvironment.
Apache, JBoss stack including installation,diagnostics and Tuning.
Working knowledge of databases (Oracle) andJDBC & ODBC drivers.
JVM knowledge in support of JSP coderunning under Apache.
Knowledge of IBM MQ, SQL Server 2012, andWindows Server also an advantage.
Experience with configuration and use of amonitoring solution such as New Relic monitoring solution.
Excellent communication skills in Englishand in Dutch, strong mediator in conference calls.
