Tasks :

ABB is seeking a Strategic Business Development Manager / Channel manager. As Channel Manager you are responsible for setting out the sales strategy via the various sales channels such as system integrators, OEM, technical partners, wholesalers, etc.

We are asking you to expand the business within the light industries. The entire process of market analysis, plan of action and selling the entire ABB portfolio, including corresponding services, is your primary responsibility.

By building a strategic network, you are able to commit existing customers and attract new ones. In order to do this successfully, active participation in the worldwide, internal ABB network is a must for this challenge.

Your tasks :

  • Setting out strategies with regard to partners in the various market segments, taking part in the various segment teams at ABB
  • Identification of new product and services needs for the stated market and customers. Development of roadmaps with the business segments
  • Visit customers and prospects in order to generate sufficient offers and quotes in order to achieve your target
  • Participate in (networking) events aimed at the light industry in order to expand your own network as well as that of ABB
  • Preparing reports on new markets and segments
  • Work closely together with other ABB divisions and business units in order to fully capitalize on opportunities.
  • Keep yourself informed of developments and opportunities within the segment.
  • You work with a team of sales engineers and technical specialists to convert the added value provided by ABB into client-specific advantages.

    Requirements :

  • Successful completion of a Master degree in applied sciences, preferably in industrial engineering and management.
  • Proven track record in the technical sale industry.
  • Sales and Marketing-driven personality.
  • Excellent communicative skills.
  • A diplomatic team player who is cooperative in working together with other departments and suppliers.
  • The ability to think strategically and to convincingly present the added value of ABB solutions at all levels within an organization.
  • An excellent command of the Dutch, French and English language.
  • Holder of a type B driver license.
