An opportunity has arisen within the South East Water Waterlink team based at Leitrim House, Coldharbour in Kent for a Waterlink Technician.
We are now seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our busy team on a full time and permanent basis. The successful candidate will support the Waterlink Health and Safety Advisor with business requirements, to co-orcinate and plan Waterlink audits, ensure health and safety files are kept up to date and to assist field staff where necessary and provide cover when required.
Main responsibilities :
Ensure work quality, health, safety and statutory requirements are delivered to the highest standard, complying to best practice to enhance the company reputation
To assist field teams with Streetworks activity when needed, ensuring safe working practices are followed and the correct traffic management is sort.
To undertake Health and Safety audits on a regular basis to ensure correct procedures are in place and are being followed by field staff.
To maintain up to date records of staff accreditation and maintenance / calibration certificates of tools and plant.
To undertake the day to day supervision of work and provide cover for the field based team leaders when required.
To identify and develop commercial opportunities with commercial and domestic customers across and outside of South East Water's area of operation.
To work with other commercial teams sharing resource and knowledge to ensure these opportunities are successfully implemented.
Expected requirements :
The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate experience, knowledge and understanding of working in a commercial environment undertaking activity in the water industry or similar organisation.
An ability to showcase experience and knowledge of NRASWA activity.
A good understanding of Health and Safety and must be willing to work towards various Health and Safety qualifications.
The role will require extensive field based activity and will therefore require a full clean driving license and the willingness to work away from home for short periods of time.
The successful candidate will be expected to communicate directly with external customers so excellent communication skills in addition to IT skills are required.
This is to ensure quotations, contracts, proposals, reports and recommendations can be delivered across a variety of mediums.
