As Junior Key Account Manager, you are part of our Out-of-Home team (OOH), and report to the Key Account Manager OOH. Your team is based at Alpro HQ (Gent) and is responsible for the sales of our Alpro® and Provamel® products for our Out-

of-Home channel via wholesalers : HoReCa, on-the-go, catering and health care customers. Next to the Alpro® and Provamel® products that are available at the retailer, we also have a delicious coffee product range especially for this market segment (Alpro for Professionals®).

In this entrepreneurial market with a huge potential and a big variety of customers, you will be responsible for managing and building strong relationships with our food-

related partners in Belgium and The Netherlands.

You are in the driver’s seat of growing our business, volumes and sales.

About the job

In this role, you get the opportunity to be in charge of :

  • Business Development : You create business opportunities with the customers in Belgium and The Netherlands both farming and hunting.
  • Negotiation : You negotiate with buyers and the wholesaler teams on more targeted investments for activating the right consumer(s).

    You track and review the agreed customer KPI’s and negotiate targets. Target Definition and Planning / Resource Allocation (incl.

    budget) : You manage the assigned budgets in line with sales objectives. You take into account the marketing and category management guidelines, in order to maximize return on investment.

    Networking / Customer Management : You build strong relationships across different functions within your customers. Growth plans, implementation and monitoring : You develop, implement and monitor the growth plan per customer, in order to achieve the targeted sales and profitability within your region.

    In order to expand the Out-of-Home market, you update the strategic assessment of your customers (incl. risk reporting), in close cooperation with your team.

  • Marketing and Category Alignment : You take the lead in defining and implementing tactics on pricing, promos, assortment, etc.
  • You gather and analyse customer-related data, in close collaboration with marketing & category management, in order to ensure an optimal customer approach in line with the marketing strategy and category vision.

  • Internal point of contact / Advice / Collaboration : You cooperate with key stakeholders in other departments, advise the international marketing teams on competition, new product developments, etc.
  • You advise the customer service management teams for cost improvement in Supply Chain, forecasting accuracy and appropriate complaints handling, etc.

    in order to strengthen multi-functional teamwork and optimize common achievements. You take the end responsibility on the order to cash process (incl.

    payments follow up and legal compliance).

  • Business Analysis / Data Management and Reporting : You measure and evaluate relevant data (e.g. sales data, etc.) and you ensure access for internal stakeholders to all relevant customer information in order ensure maximum efficiency and customer engagement.
  • About you

    To be able to achieve the above and be successful in this role we believe you need to have :

  • A Master’s degree (Marketing, Economics, etc.) or equivalent through experience.
  • You have had a first experience within Sales, preferably within the FMCG industry (e.g. Field Sales Representative, Commercial role, etc.)
  • You have strong analytical skills (e.g. experience with GfK and / or Nielsen data is a plus).
  • You are a true relationship builder and team player.
  • You have strong communication and negotiation skills.
  • You are flexible to travel, since you will divide your time between customers in The Netherlands and Belgium.
  • You are fluent in Dutch and English. French is an asset.
