We provide a significant contribution to the most major Space programs of the European Space Agency. Our core business is to work on the ground to build bridges into space, contributing to the success of ambitious missions.
Currently, we are looking for a highly enthusiastic Earth Observation Systems Engineer who will work for Telespazio Belgium, in our headquarter in Belgium and join the Technology and Innovation department for geo-information related projects.
What is expected from you :
Design and develop solutions for Earth Observation downstream systems and services from an architecture and requirements engineering point of view;
Sketching and prototyping data processing algorithms to prove concepts and validate data on the field;
Integrate new solutions into existing Telespazio group projects as needed, according to business needs and product interfaces;
Act as TPZB technical interface for Group products proposition on the market;
Contribute to the company internal R&D roadmap related to Earth Observation, both from the planning and execution point of view;
Identify and prove the feasibility of new technologies applied to Earth Observation with the objective to define new products;
Prepare documentation and contributions to technical notes and reports as required, for both project and commercial objectives;
Contribute to proposal writing by sketching ideas, providing technical contributions, and participating in discussions with consortium partners;
Participate in on-field verification and validation contributing for the EO part;
What you offer
Degree in Telecommunications Engineering, Computer Science, Physics or similar discipline;
At least 4 years of experience in the field of Earth Observation;
Good experience with Earth Observation data processing at various product levels;
Good knowledge of major European and non-European EO missions and relevant products;
Good experience in systems engineering, e.g. requirements or architecture engineering;
Expert knowledge of digital technologies applicable to remote sensing data processing, and extensive hands-on experience at least on one of them;
Familiarity with programming and scripting languages, especially python, applied to linear and distributed databases and Machine Learning;
Experience with proposal writing and familiarity with ESA processes and documentation is an asset;
The working language is English, French is an asset.

You will be working within our Belgium office in Transinne. Due to the COVID restrictions, we don’t expect the employees to be on-site full time however you will still have to relocate to Belgium for this position.
