Experience in user centred design practices

Experience or interest to work on smell sense and fragrance development

Adept at handling and analysing both quantitative and qualitative data

Strong attention to detail with creative & analytical mindset

Knowledge of industry tools : Presentation & design

Fluent in English

Ideally : Bachelor / Master or minimum 2-3 year degree in Science, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biochemistry

Team / division description

Toyota Motor Europe R&D Centre is responsible for :

Developing vehicles and making concept proposal for EU core models

Reflecting EU technology to Toyota Vehicles timely by utilizing location advantage and strong network with EU partners

Body Engineering is responsible for Planning & Design for European Vehicles from concept phase to serial production.

Your project

1 / Effect of smell on perceived quality for vehicle interiors

2 / Vehicle fragrance development for mood enhancement.

Plan and conduct user research and competitor analysis

Prepare and organise panel for vehicle smell and fragrance

Interpret data and qualitative feedback

Create correlation between subjective panel and objective parameters

Understand impact of different fragrance on customer mood

Set guidelines for fragrance development based on target mood

We can only accept students with an EEA or Swiss citizenship (not requiring a work permit or visa to be eligible to perform an internship in Belgium) !!!
