Position Purpose & Summary : This position provides EMEA Accounting & Finance (A&F) with the leadership in the identification, prioritization, and execution of large-

scale process optimization initiatives for end-to-end Order and Trade Settlement to Cash (OTSC) processes through the utilization of continuous improvement methodologies.

This role will be a key partner to the OTSC Global Process Manager (GPM) and the EMEA Financial Risk Management (FRM) Lead to understand top quartile process objectives and develop the roadmap to achieve those objectives in the EMEA Region.

This position will work with regional and Cargill Business Services (CBS) PI teams to understand, coordinate, and align the OTSC project portfolio globally.

It will coordinate with the System Optimization team on any financial system changes required on process optimization projects.

This role is accountable for the identification of change impacts and working with the PI Change Lead to plan and execute necessary change, communication and education project elements in coordination with the GPO and CBS.

This role works closely with the EMEA Controls domain to ensure that financial controls are properly designed and deployed, and that process documentation is updated for all process changes.

This role develops the necessary OTSC process execution expertise in EMEA A&F to enable effective financial processes and to streamline business and process changes.

This position plays a key role in project and change management for EMEA A&F OTSC process initiatives and for building a culture of process improvement in the EMEA A&F organization.

Principal Accountabilities : 60% Continuous Improvement, Process Standardization and Optimization

  • Provide thought leadership for the continuous improvement vision and strategy for EMEA A&F
  • Partner with the Global Process Organization (GPO) to understand top quartile process objectives and develop plans to achieve those objectives
  • Partner with the GPO and regional PI Leads to develop and prioritize the PI portfolio for OTSC
  • Collaborate across regions to create and leverage best practices and partner on initiatives spanning multiple regions
  • Identify, prioritize and lead the process optimization initiatives for EMEA A&F OTSC
  • Provides leadership and direction to assess value realization for PI initiatives
  • Bring visibility to current state versus baseline and benchmarks and Identifies areas for stabilization or enhancing the effectiveness and / or efficiency of OTSC processes
  • Ensures that process optimization initiatives follow the defined PI framework, including project plans and methodologies
  • Apply advanced knowledge of OTSC processes, concepts, and best practices to continuous improvement projects.
  • Analyze and measure the effectiveness of improvements and recommend additional improvements to applications, processes, and policies as necessary to reach objectives
  • Partner with the Controls domain to ensure that financial controls are properly designed, and that process documentation is updated for all process changes.
  • Coordinate with Technology Optimization team on any financial system changes necessary to achieve objectives.
  • Communicate new and revised policies and procedures, ensure standards are followed, and identify and notify exceptions and deviations to the GPO and EMEA A&F domain leads to drive alignment and consistency.

  • Communicates and informs project stakeholders to provide updates on project objectives, performance, issues and risks
  • Establish and maintain relationships with key business and functional stakeholders to facilitate and manage change
  • Facilitate discussions to identify and solve impacts or gaps in the OTSC processes from upstream and downstream processes
  • Challenge the status quo to explore new ways to execute processes consistently, efficiently and effectively
  • 20% Capability and Culture Development

  • Drive continuous improvement capability and culture change for EMEA Finance A&F
  • Act as a subject matter expert to provide advice and coaching on CI for A&F EMEA Leadership and EMEA Regional Domains
  • Engage with EMEA A&F domains to provide support and thought leadership on process design and to develop and improve processes for sustainable, long-term success.
  • Qualifications

    Minimum Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Knowledge of OTSC processes in SAP and / or JDE
  • Minimum 7 years of accounting, finance or related business experience
  • Experience with process improvement methodology, modeling and tools (Lean / Six Sigma / Kaizen, etc.)
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Demonstrated change agility and change management skills
  • Demonstrated ability to influence at all levels of the organization
  • Ability to identify interdependencies between processes or projects
  • Ability to communicate and influence across multiple stakeholder groups
  • Demonstrated flexibility and ability to deal with ambiguity
  • Demonstrated ability to understand and use technology to improve process and controls
  • Ability to find innovative ways to resolve problems
  • Project management experience
  • Ability to travel up to 10%
  • Preferred Qualifications

  • Lean / Six Sigma Certification
  • Experience with multiple businesses and / or international business experience
  • Experience with shared service organizations
  • Experience in a matrix organization.
