About the role

The Manager Finance BP OSCO Wieze supports the Director Finance BP OSCO EMEA in financial OSCO controlling, planning and analysis responsibilities for Wieze and BE01 activities concerning outsourced production, Halle and Norderstedt (Germany).

The Finance BP OSCO EMEA North acts as the financial eyes in the plant for both the local plant management team and the regional OSCO and Finance organization.

In this respect, this function partners with various stakeholders in the organization and is the right hand of the and business partner of the Plant Manager and the local OSCO management team.

The Finance BP OSCO EMEA North is accountable and fully responsible (effective, timely and accurate) for reporting, analyzing and reconciling the local financial results versus targets for operational (in)efficiencies, headcount, overtime, material usage variances, direct and indirect costs, etc.

As a business partner to the Plant Manager and the management team, the Finance BP OSCO East has to

drive change,

continuously recommend scenarios to increase efficiency or avoid inefficiencies,

be solutions oriented and

materially contribute to the achievement of the business goals and targets of the plant.

In this respect, it is absolutely needed to have a deep conceptual knowledge of operational flows to

detect in an early stage potential margin / performance leakage and

improve productivity and drive efficiencies.

Key responsibilities include

Overseeing and managing the financial results of Wieze, Halle and Norderstedt

Monitoring and evaluating performance against budget and prior year, identifying risks and opportunities and reviewing results and developing mitigating actions with the Finance BP’s on-site and plant management teams

Leading the financial planning processes including budgets and forecasts

Ensuring proper inventory management controls and processes are in place (Wieze, Halle, Norderstedt, GDC + subco locations in EMEA)

Reviewing investment proposals and providing support to the Finance BP Wieze / Halle / Norderstedt to develop investment proposals and evaluate and monitor cash spending

Participate in creating the strategy for EMEA

Reviewing and developing budget & analyses models

Driving standardardization and simplification in OSCO finance processes and ways of working

Prepare recurring analyses (e.g. MUV follow-up, KPI’s) and ad-hoc analysis in case of questions + signaling pro-actively risks which may occur & for which actions need to be taken upfront.

Define and set-up KPI’s for EMEA North region with OSCO Finance BP’s on-site

Drive standardardization and common ways of working within the Belgian sites (Wieze & Halle) & Norderstedt

Initiate, Drive & Participate in OSCO finance projects (stock, MUV, Data Accuracy )

Support make or buy analysis

Implement and update inventory management processes

Provide local support to control & manage local supply chain costs

Coach and develop team members

Act as a gatekeeper concerning internal controls

Recommend process efficiency scenarios and decide upon procedures to increase efficiency or avoid inefficiencies

Have very deep and broad based knowledge of the total operational value chain

About you

Masters in Finance, Accounting, Economics or similar

English business proficiency (written and spoken)
