Platform Architect Permanent, Full Time, Brussels Your role & work environment Your role within the organisation will be to define and maintain the full stack architecture of the platform as well as its lifecycle, and to perform and oversee platform architecture design for epics and features cross domain.
You will ensure an optimal integration with other platforms and a good balance between cost and quality, while paying attention to non-
functional requirements. You will provide clear guidance to integrators and engineers on the execution according to architectural design.

Your key responsibilities Platform Architecture Management
You define and manage the Platform Architecture, taking into account all aspects (functional, non-functional, risk, security, technical debt, migration, roadmaps, );
You design the platform for maximal IT value (standardized, built-in security and data integrity, etc.) leveraging industry standards when appropriate;
You ensure that the platform is globally productized (managed, supported, owned, life-cycled, etc.) and standardized across ING;
You manage the full lifecycle of the platform, its integration points with other platforms, and its evolution across domains that consume the platform services;
Architecture activities in the change process
You break down desired (business) themes into epics and features, that can be further refined into implementable stories, and you define architecture (IT) epics and features to further improve the quality of your domain;
You make an architecture analysis and design of all features for your platform, assessing the impact of change on all relevant stakeholders, creating solution outlines that comply with the enterprise standards and fit in the enterprise roadmap and strategy;
You define Quarterly Business Review (QBR) items (3 months) and sign off quarterly plans and / or Change Governance Documents (CGD);
You ensure that the architecture is implemented according to plan, minimizing technical debt, escalating to management if necessary.
