Within Solvay Business Services, the global shared service for Solvay, the HR Service Line is in charge of managing Payroll & Benefits operations, Payroll design and IS landscape for Solvay globally.

Payroll & Benefits administration service in Belgium is in charge of delivering the payroll, Pensions & Benefits for more than 2500 active and inactive employees in Belgium, Netherlands and Luxembourg.

Aperçu du travail et des responsabilités

The Payroll Specialist will be in charge of supporting the Solvay Belgian Payroll and Benefits Team by providing accurate and timely services linked to Payroll or Benefits for the Belgium, Netherland or Luxemburg zone.

Based in Belgium, he / she will be part of a team of around 12 people based in Brussels (Neder-Over-Hembeek) that are in charge of the Benelux zone.

Under the guidance of the Payroll Manager for BeNelux, he / she will take in charge autonomously several operational and complex activities linked to Payroll or BenefitsMain responsibilities of the BeNeLux Payroll Specialist :

  • Coordinate the payroll processes and ensure the controls and follow-up in collaboration with the Payroll team as well as the external payroll provider to ensure the delivery timely up-to-standard Payroll service, using SAP payroll (monthly / quarterly / yearly processes)
  • Analyze new legislation and HR rules, and assess their impact on the processes, procedure and tools (change requests to be managed in relationship with HR and the external payroll provider)
  • Define functional recommendations or continuous improvements , and systems and process requirements based on his / her knowledge of local legislation and HR rules.
  • Provide support for preparing the compensation campaign, monitores and extracts information for reporting purposes and payroll implementation (merit increase, bonus, CCT90, warrants)
  • Give support for the management and administration in payroll of monthly advantages (e.g. company car), assure follow-up with provider, deeper consistency checks of data received, monitores results before implementing them in payroll on time
  • Provide reports, expertise and support to colleagues and internal stakeholders such as Business HR, GCC, employees (e.
  • g. work council reports, total reward statement, collective agreements, )

  • Deliver information to the external authorities and might represent Solvay towards these authorities (e.g. assure follow-up and relationships with auditors or controllers, social or fiscal inspection,...)
  • Give support for the management and administration in payroll of different kinds of advantages (e.g. legal indexation) as well as Board of Directors payroll or other specific payroll processes
  • Participate to or lead transversal projects
  • Formation et Expérience

  • Master diploma in Payroll / HRIS / Finance or equivalent through experience
  • Strong experience in Payroll on an operational level - minimum 5 years experience in Belgian Payroll
  • Compétences

  • Belgium payroll and legislation knowledge
  • Deep knowledge of SAP HR
  • Good knowledge of IT tools / Spreadsheet (Excel, Google) advanced use
  • Work autonomously

  • Fluency in English AND French
  • Dutch is a plus
