We are looking for experienced professionals for our growing Actuarial Advisory Services practice, with solid knowledge of BEGAAP and IFRS reserving techniques (life and / or non-
life), Solvency II Technical Provisions & Solvency II Capital requirement calculations. The role will be at Senior Manager level (10 15 years of experience). What will you do?
Lead engagements as part of the actuarial audit support. Activities include : Verify appropriateness of the reported BEGAAP reserves, IFRS reserves, Solvency II Technical Provisions, and calculated Solvency II capital requirements.
Collaborate with the audit team to identify areas of inherent risks that could impact appropriateness of numbers reported, check internal controls in place and the appropriateness of those controls.
Define a risk-based action-plan to assess the major risk exposures Perform sanity checks, re-calculations, etc. Assess the underlying assumptions used, the expert judgment, cost allocations, results of stress tests, back-
and sensitivity testing, etc.
Coach, structure and review the work of more junior colleagues that work on audit support.
Communicate findings and recommendations in a clear and concise way to clients and to audit executives / partners.
Establish long-lasting relationships with clients and colleagues, based on mutual trust and respect.
Support advisory engagements related to finance and risk, like the implementation of the IFRS 17 standards, capital optimization, etc.

What are we looking for?
Master degree in actuarial sciences
Relevant experience (between 9 15 years), with a minimum of 5 years in an actuarial-oriented position (life and / or non-
life), either within a Big4 or in the insurance sector
Experience with calculating and / or reviewing the BEGAAP / IFRS reserves, the Solvency II technical provisions and the Solvency II capital requirements.
Previous experience with audit standards is an asset.
Excellent communication skills, with fluency in Dutch and / or French and proficient level of business English
