  • Maintaining relationships with selected existing customers through exceptional Account Management service.
  • Actively sourcing new sales opportunities and land potential (new) customers.
  • Developing in-depth knowledge of Ocean product and its carriers on features and benefits.
  • Liaising with the operational and pricing department to ensure smooth collaboration.
  • Advising customers on suitable Ocean Freight product based on their needs and specifications.
  • Following up on sales inquiries that are made by potential or existing customers through website, emails and inbound calls.
  • Ensure usage of Hellmann sales systems, i.e. maintain timely and accurate information all customer contacts, opportunities in the Hellmann CRM system.
  • A minimum of 5 years of applicable (sales) experience within the Ocean Forwarding industry.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent negotiation and consultative sales skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent strongly preferred;
  • Effective & excellent communication skills in Dutch (preferred mother tong) & English (written / verbal).
