Maintaining relationships with selected existing customers through exceptional Account Management service.
Actively sourcing new sales opportunities and land potential (new) customers.
Developing in-depth knowledge of Ocean product and its carriers on features and benefits.
Liaising with the operational and pricing department to ensure smooth collaboration.
Advising customers on suitable Ocean Freight product based on their needs and specifications.
Following up on sales inquiries that are made by potential or existing customers through website, emails and inbound calls.
Ensure usage of Hellmann sales systems, i.e. maintain timely and accurate information all customer contacts, opportunities in the Hellmann CRM system.
A minimum of 5 years of applicable (sales) experience within the Ocean Forwarding industry.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent negotiation and consultative sales skills.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent strongly preferred;
Effective & excellent communication skills in Dutch (preferred mother tong) & English (written / verbal).
