Who are we and why should you care?
Teamleader is a SaaS scale-up founded in 2012 in Ghent, Belgium. With Teamleader Focus we simplify work for small businesses by offering an all-in-one solution for CRM, project management and invoicing.
Teamleader Orbit, acquired in 2019, focuses on helping medium-sized agencies thrive. By joining forces, we became the logical choice for any European business, big or small, that aims to automate and simplify work.
The Brand Studio
You'll end up in our Brand Studio. The studio inside an ambitious / growing software company. We are in love with our brand and fully in charge of spreading the gospel of Teamleader.
We mostly do that by building campaigns and creating great content. We challenge the status quo in a vivid startup spirit and encourage ownership.
Open challenge and feedback are cornerstones of how we do things. We get things done, then analyse to do it better the next time.
What an average work week looks like :
At first , you will mostly be executing and improving others’ ideas. The more we get to know your talents, the more responsibility we throw your way.
Sometimes you are a pen for hire : if we need a convincing Black Friday discount email that gets great opens and clicks, you’re the go-to person.
Copy briefings for paid channels will often end up on your desk, as well as a broad range of proofreading and editing tasks.
Other times , you help to brainstorm full-fledged, creative marketing campaigns with your Brand Studio team members : based on the goal, the product and the audience, the team comes up with a campaign concept together.
Once the final concept has been greenlighted, you start delivering assets like social posts for 3-4 networks, emails, landing pages, and whatever is required for success.
Success often means bring in the numbers , but that’s not always in (y)our control. Making bold and show-stopping content certainly is.
And if something’s not working , you look at analytics or other data in order to improve.
Of course, you do what’s necessary to get assets published, together with the PMs. That could mean inputting a blog in the CMS until it’s perfect and that embedded video looks just right - sometimes a pain in the ass, if you know you know - or prepping an email in Hubspot.
Subtitling videos for social media is also your responsibility. A bit of monkey work, sure, but you understand why it’s needed so you get good at it.
Or even better : you figure out a quick workaround.
And since you understand that the wheel has already been invented, you spend some of your time reworking and reformatting existing / old content.
Finally, at Teamleader events, you take notes and make recordings. Then you turn it into something people want to consume. It’s what you do.
Why others choose Teamleader : we're lively, not corporate
We have the energy and boldness of a start-up and the expertise and pragmatism of a scale-up. The result : a team of both young and seasoned professionals led by supportive and approachable managers who give recognition and rewards for hard work.
You’ll be working in a fast-paced tech environment with open feedback culture and room for initiatives and ideas.
On top of that, you’ll get :
A liberal training budget to spend as you choose.

We value diversity

We believe that a diverse, inclusive working environment is crucial to realise that ambition, so we’re committed to continue to build and cherish a culture where every colleague feels welcome, appreciated and heard.
Sounds like something for you? You would be a good fit for this job if :
You have full proficiency in Dutch and English . French is a plus.
You have at least 2 years of relevant working experience.
You’re a good copywriter. Preferably short copy like social posts, l anding pages, ads and emails, but long-form is useful too.
If conversion copy is something you’re already skilled at, yes please! If not, we’ll learn together.
You have basic (or better) digital / inbound marketing knowledge.
You know your way around most social networks , and can create good content for every medium.
You can think on your feet. You don’t always have to learn the play-by-play from a book.
You’re lazy-smart and pragmatic . If cutting a corner will deliver more than it costs, you cut it.
You’re not afraid to speak truth to power . If the rest of the meeting says Yes, but you feel strongly about No, you defend your argument.
Respectfully, of course.
You appreciate and can draw smart conclusions from data.
You are great at extracting information and filtering out the essential stuff.
You work together well with performance / growth marketeers, GTM marketeers, sales people...
Experience with CMS, Hubspot, HotJar or other marketing standards is pretty, pretty nice. But it’s not essential. You are a quick learner after all.
