Job Duties & Accountabilities :
Leads the development and implementation of technology improvement programs and asset productivity best practices across all units at the site.
Maintains current and future state vision of plant capabilities, improvement, automation, and technical resource plans.
Champions and leads site technology upgrades and new product introductions.
When technology is developed off-site, optimize how it is fully integrated into the site’s capabilities.
Ensures adequate technology representation in site PSM processes including up-to-date process safety and process technology documentation.
Provides development and mentoring to technical professionals at the site to ensure continuous growth in technical and leadership capability to support the business.
Lead sites quality improvement plans.
Provides support to operations in the form of optimized operating standards and quality control plans.
Oversees key technical programs, new processes, and major projects to ensure proper staffing and progress per schedule.
Participates as a member of the site leadership team.
Leads change implementation via Six Sigma.
Major Accountabilities :
Supports asset productivity improvement and implementation of best practices at the site.
Leads efforts to maintain and drive improvements in production capability and asset productivity.
Defines skill sets needed and number of resources required to run the site to meet the safety, quality, rate, and yield objectives of the site, and to achieve and sustain site technology excellence.
Develops and maintains resource plans to support improvement and project activities. Facilitates work processes to obtain results expected from improvement programs.
Serves as communication focal point for the site’s technical programs.
Works to ensure site technical excellence by developing robust process capability. Provides input to prioritization of site projects.
Conducts development for all site professionals supporting business needs, leveraging knowledge from both inside and outside the company.
Accountable for maintaining the site PSM program. Accountable for site energy / sustainability program.
Master’s Degree : Bioengineer, Chemical engineer, mechanical engineer or equivalent in engineering discipline.
7+ years of prior work experience in process, project or production engineering, preferably in a food-related industry.
People management experience.
